New Year’s resolutions

My first resolution is to try to gripe less about life and to be more thankful for my blessings.
As for the United States of America, I would like to resolve that all my fellow citizens try to act in a more civil and nice manner. We need to set an example for our so-called leaders. If we treat others in a decent manner, maybe our actions will funnel up to those who have the power to direct our nation. I am tired of politicians who demonize others. Whether our political leanings tilt toward conservative, liberal or middle of the road views, we all want what is best for our families and friends. Instead of dividing us, our leaders should find more ways to unite us.
We are here to praise and to worship God. And to love and serve one another as brothers and sisters. Jesus taught us to love all, even those who treat us wrongly. We are here to do God’s will. We know what the right thing to do is. It is up to us to do it.
