Newly-launched pro-family coalition urges West to follow Russia’s lead on homosexual propaganda

*Lively says the coalition “is calling the church to **unity *and action on Biblical truth as a last stand against **the overthrow of Christian civilization in the western world.” He also says that while Russia “was truly an evil empire” in the days of the Soviet Union, “a wave of Christian missionaries flooded Russia” approximately 15 years ago, “while the Russian Orthodox Church and other traditional denominations also experienced a resurgence.”

While it is possible that “Putin is a power-hungry despot,” Lively says it “does not seem true to me.” Lively did a 50-city tour of the former Soviet Union seven years ago, meeting with "high-level representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church,” and says he believe in “the **absolute sincerity **of these mens’ Christianity and their **deep concern **for their people and nation, especially the **disastrous population decline **they have suffered as the **result **of un-Biblical sexual lifestyles and abortion.”

In view of my understanding of Catholic teachings on the subject and his work in Uganda, I would hope that Scott Lively would be the last person on Earth that Catholics would be hitching their wagons to.

*In terms of the Pro Family Coalition, could a Catholic believe they were ** hitching their wagon ** to the Word of God, the **Teaching Magisterium ** of His Church ** and Tradition, rather than to any ** individual ** by membership in such a group??? * *
Something
worth ***thinking about!!
***The Coalition for Family Values will be encouraging our current and future affiliates throughout the world to lobby their own governments to follow the Russian example. While the LGBT agenda has seemed like an unstoppable political juggernaut in North America and Europe, the vast majority of the people of the world do not accept the notion that sexual deviance should be normalized. It is time that these voices are heard on the world stage before the so-called elites of the Western powers impose **their inverted morality on everyone through the manipulation of international law, which they **clearly *intend to do.

I agree but it would be nice if the Pope came out hard on this issue and set the example for all.

Lively says the coalition “is calling the church to unity and action on Biblical truth as a last stand against the overthrow of Christian civilization in the western world.”

Uganda has a new law: have homosexual sex, and go to prison for the rest of your Life.
And, if you speak positively about homosexuality (and are NOT gay), you will get 7 years in prison.
I was happy to see that they had deleted the section which would have given the Death Penalty for gay sex.

My first impression about this is: Let he who has NOT sinned, cast the first stone.

I am far from being pro-gay rights.
But I think that people who HYPE things to ridiculous levels are working to assist Satan in the downfall of Christianity.
Satan does whatever he can to make people become less-Spiritual, and MORE concerned with this World.
Hatred is a NO-NO, according to the New Testament.
Therefore, people who want to instill hatred in others, are not much better than Satan.

Is there truly anything in this entire World that can TRULY be called, the** “last stand against the overthrow of Christian civilization in the western world”?**
Good grief.

Considerations Regarding Proposals
to Give Legal Recognition to Unions
Between Homosexual Persons
.

 • Faced with the fact of homosexual unions, civil authorities adopt **different *positions. At times they simply tolerate the phenomenon; at other times they advocate legal recognition of such unions, under the pretext of avoiding, with regard to certain rights, discrimination against persons who live with someone of the same sex. In other cases, they favour giving homosexual unions legal equivalence to marriage properly so-called, along with the legal **possibility of adopting children.

Where the government’s policy is de facto tolerance and there is no explicit legal recognition of homosexual unions, it is necessary to** distinguish carefully the various aspects of the problem. Moral conscience requires that, in every occasion, Christians give witness to the whole moral truth, which is contradicted both by approval of homosexual acts and unjust discrimination ** against homosexual persons. Therefore, discreet and prudent actions can be effective; these might involve:** unmasking **the way in which such **tolerance might be exploited or used in the service of ideology; stating clearly the immoral nature of these unions; reminding the government of the need to contain the phenomenon **within **certain limits **so as to **safeguard public morality **and, above all, **to avoid exposing young people to erroneous ideas about sexuality and marriage that would deprive them of their necessary defences and contribute to the spread of the phenomenon. Those who would move from tolerance to the legitimization **of **specific rights **for **cohabiting homosexual persons need to be reminded that the approval or legalization of ** evil ** is something far different from the toleration **of ** evil.
In those situations where homosexual unions have been
legally recognized **or have been **given the legal status **and rights belonging to marriage, **clear **and emphatic opposition is a duty. One must refrain from any kind of **formal cooperation in the enactment **or **application **of such gravely unjust laws and, as far as possible, from **material cooperation on the level of their application. In this area, everyone can exercise the right **to conscientious objection.

It doesn’t have to be sex, even a kiss or a hug could do it.
