Non catholics and confession

#1

I have a friend who has come to church with me a few times. She loves the liturgy of the catholic church, and I feel she may someday even concider becoming a catholic! yay! At any rate, she is still seeking the full truth of God, and one thing that has rung true to her, is confession. She has told me that she wishes all churches (she is protestant) did that still. I told her the catholic position on it and she seemed to agree with it. I told her I was planning to go to confession in 2 weeks as part of the RCIA process, and that maybe she might be able to come too. Is it possible for a non-catholic or a non-candidate/catecheumen (sp?) to go to confession?
