DALLAS, Texas – Norma McCorvey, whose legal challenge under the pseudonym “Jane Roe” led to the U.S. Supreme Court’s landmark decision that legalized abortion but who later became an outspoken opponent of the procedure, died Saturday. She was 69.

McCorvey died at an assisted living center in Katy, Texas, said journalist Joshua Prager, who is working on a book about McCorvey and was with her and her family when she died. He said she died of heart failure.

Think about the guilt that she had to live with until her death. Norma McCorvey, who was responsible for making abortion on demand legal in the United States, became a warrior for the pro-life cause. I am praying for the repose of her soul. It could be very well that she’ll be numbered amongst the Saints (even if not on the liturgical calendar) in heaven, and I think, one day, through her prayers, we could end abortion. I am so glad she became pro-life. God bless her, and may she rest in peace.

Lord Jesus, have mercy on her soul. Amen.

May God’s mercy and forgiveness be upon her soul.

Luckily, she had a conversion and like Sandra Cano, who died at least a year ago (Sandra was Doe of Doe vs Bolton) tried to have her “case” overridden.

She became a Christian in the 1990s and then converted to the Catholic faith several years after that.

She was sick with pneumonia is what happened…that probably lead to the heart failure. :frowning:

RIP miss Norma.
