Oh boy. If this is truly what it sounds like, it’s disgusting. If this is a foretaste of things to come, we would easily move out of country. The problem is, where? Perhaps better to fight the good fight where we are.

#3

This should easily be struck down in court if true.

#4

I think the left are now showing what they really think.

For a long time was just smoke and mirrors.

#5

All depends on who wins the election this November.

#6

Now I’m waiting for the usual angry souls to come and tell us how Obama is just misunderstood, and how Pope Francis wouldn’t mind this at all. Both of which are totally false. :stuck_out_tongue:

#7

Well, this is nauseating.

#8

We’re going to see a lot more of this kind of thing, especially if Clinton is elected.

#9

I don’t know why you would assume that. Courts have been ruling against the plain language of laws and Constitution since before the Dred Scot decision.

#10

“The churches filed a lawsuit against the regulation last October, and it has been moving through the courts.”

This is clearly a wait and see situation. The tone of the article is very, very political and seems to me calculated to elicit anger.

#11

Yes. The more accurate, less sensationalized version is “churches under obamacare must follow the same rules as other employers in the type of insurance they offer to employees”.

That proposed headline is sensationalized as it doesn’t accurately reflect what the big deal is.

#16

Why wait and see? Another illegal decision sponsored by Obama - do you really think this news is so very, very political and calculated to elicit anger? Really, really?
Recognize what sensible, caring, honorable people are fighting to begin the end of abortion. The less said by conniving Democrats for Hillary/Obama the better - the elicited anger is their responsibility.

#17

Except your proposed headline doesn’t address the core issue that funding of or cooperating in abortion directly contradicts the religious practices and beliefs.

#18

Obama and the left already have the majority of the Catholic vote in the bag.

There will be no negative consequences for doing this among Democrats.

This is what Obama and HRC believe in. If the majority of Catholics believed in Catholic teaching, there would be consequences.

#19

This is like forcing Jews to eat milk and meat at the same meal or forcing Muslims to eat pork, neither of which this administration would do.

It shows the special contempt this administration and its party has for the Catholic church, and the lengths to which it will go to force Catholics to violate the teachings of the Church.

When Hillary Clinton says we will have to “change our religion” to suit her abortion policies, folks, she means it, and undoubtedly in more ways than this.

#20

Of course, this is why it is important for all Catholics to fully understand the issue (for example, this seems like a highly tilted article) as well as to read through the available Church resources, such as Forming Consciences for Faithful Citizenship and the comments of various bishops, when deciding how to vote.
