Obama Presidential Campaign

#1

First lady Michelle Obama hit the campaign trail in Nashville on Tuesday and told a packed crowd in a downtown office building that the campaign has an "amazing story to tell."

"This President has brought us out of the dark and into the light," she said. "But we need each and every one of you as fired up as you’ve been."

The Church's ultimate trial

675 Before Christ's second coming the Church must pass through a final trial that will shake the faith of many believers. The persecution that accompanies her pilgrimage on earth will unveil the "mystery of iniquity" in the form of a religious deception offering men an apparent solution to their problems at the price of apostasy from the truth. The supreme religious deception is that of the Antichrist, a pseudo-messianism by which man glorifies himself in place of God and of his Messiah come in the flesh.

I prefer the lower debt of darkness. It had a high AAA rating too.

If 5 trillion of debt in 3 1/2 years and 3 years of unemployment above 8% is bringing America in to the light then what is the dark?

I guess more debt equals more "light." If debt constitutes being brought into the light, we are positively being blinded by the light.

Left has done deification of Obama since he ran. It is very disturbing. There is a gospel of Obama

This comes from the same person who during the last election campaign said that for the first time in her adult life she was proud to be an American.

I don't need anymore of Obama and Michelle's version of light.

If the light means more people dependent on the government from cradle to grave, well then congratulations.

In that case, bring us back into the darkness, Romney!!

It is sickening how people, especially some black Christians, have hailed this man as some sort of messiah when he is so far from it. The black church has become what the white churches were 100 years ago, catering everything from their racial point of view.

Jesus will come again and Obama, like a lot us, will realize their is only ONE name that is above all names. God be with us!

On the other hand, maybe all black churches didn't get the message. At least these black pastors seem to have some doubts.

Left has done deification of Obama since he ran. It is very disturbing. There is a gospel of Obama

[/quote]

"The Gospel of Barack Hussein Obama According to Mark" is designed to initiate the reader into a meditation on what it means to be human, what it means to be a manifestation of God, and how Barack Obama is a unique and important manifestation of God’s desire for human flourishing. In a blend of words from his public speeches, imagined conversation, and fictional situations, the book highlights Obama’s real stance on social justice and, in particular, economic and political empowerment. It juxtaposes ancient Biblical form and contemporary reality, challenging the reader to see and seek God in all persons. “Our life-defining texts must be porous and we must be imaginative in our engagement with them. Let this book be a reminder not to so credit sacred texts or cultural icons that they lead us to hatred and violence in the name of God. When we see the Divine in another, we must name it. We must respect it. The practice demands nothing less than Love.” Mark F. Bozzuti-Jones, Author
