Okla. governor signs bill on abortion restrictions

OKLAHOMA CITY — A bill that imposes strict regulations and requirements on abortion providers in Oklahoma has been signed into law by the governor.

Gov. Mary Fallin on Wednesday signed the bill that requires abortion clinics to have a physician with admitting privileges at a nearby hospital present when an abortion is performed. The bill further requires the Oklahoma Board of Health to establish standards regarding equipment and supplies that might be needed in a medical emergency.

The bill’s author, state Rep. Randy Grau, says it will require abortion clinics to be equipped and staffed to deal with a medical emergency.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit! As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end! Amen! :extrahappy:
