Open questions in moral theology?

I need to make a presentation on an important moral question on which there is no clear Church teaching. I am trying to get some idea of what kind of questions I can choose from (since I’ve never studied moral theology before, I have no idea what issues are still open to discussion). Google, the library, and my professor have been equally unhelpful at finding me possible topics, so I’m hoping I’ll have better luck here.

Is your professor the one who is requiring the paper? And he can’t help you find an appropriate topic? That seems very odd to me.
