Original Sin

As suggested by Meltzerboy I have started a new thread to discuss why Jews do not believe in original sin. Please refrain from debating in this thread. The purpose of this thread is get an understanding from the Jewish perspective.

Question – Do Jews believe in the transmission of a spiritual death staring from Adam?

I’m thinking Jews believe in the transmission of death not inherently received as we believe in the doctrine of Original Sin but rather as a result of Adam’s disobedience thereby God forbidding Adam and Eve to receive the fruit of the tree of life. As a result of Adam and Eve’s banishment no one has ever received the fruit of the tree of life, thus all experience death as a result of Adam’s disobedience.

Anybody agree/disagree?

Are you ONLY looking for a Jewish response?

All responses are welcome as long as they can answer from a Jewish point of view

Gotcha brother Augustine
Interesting thread all the same
