Other pork-free countries

I’ve read on Wikipedia that ancient Egyptians, Babylonians and Phoenicians abstained from pork. But since when? Did these nations eat pork?
I know that all of these ethnics are Noahide and Persia conquered them all.
Persia had a king, Xerxes, who was allegedly a Jew. And Persia was very friendly to Jews.
Do you know any directive by the Persians that forbade pork?
