At 1st Saturday Mass this morning we had the usual crowd but we had some people that I know VERY well. A lady from our neighboring town (same Church parish) came with her 2 grandsons who both have severe Autism and their nurse who helps take care of them in the home. As I said I KNOW these people very well. Before I retired the boys were in the classroom I worked in and way back when their nurse was there in the classroom as well. I had not seen them in years. Honestly apart from a few exclamations the boys did very well at Mass. They’ve also GROWN a lot since I’ve seen them.
OK to Father, he not only thanked all of us for coming to Mass on a Saturday morning but specially welcomed this Grandmother, her 2 grandsons and their nurse. Then after Mass while we were all going our own ways in the vestibule, he made a point of specifically coming out of the Sacristy and telling the Grandmother he was so happy to have her and the boys and their nurse there at Mass. She mentioned the noise they made and he told them they were FINE and they didn’t bother anybody. He told them to come back again. NOW THIS IS A MAN OF GOD, TRULY! He is so kind, caring, patient and welcoming. He just is so Christ-like in his dealings with people. PLEASE pray for Father M. that he can continue to have good health and that we can have him as our pastor for a long time to come. We are so blessed that he is our pastor. THANK YOU LORD for Father M.
