Parents Murdered - Prayers for Family

There have been a series of murders here in Baton Rouge in the last few days. A retired school teacher and her daughter (also a teacher) were discovered last week. On Saturday, an elderly couple (73) who were married for 50 years were discovered murdered by the same suspect. This elderly couple are the parents of a friend of mine whom I have known for over 32 years. Would you pray for the repose of the souls of those murdered? Would you pray for my friend and his two young daughters who are taking this very, very badly? And the neighbors. They’ve lived in that neighborhood since the early 60s. Thank you.

Absolutely–tonight’s rosary is for them and for you. May God give them His peace and may they be reunited in heaven eternally.

How upsetting to hear! I will certainly pray for your intentions at adoration on Thursday. So sorry.:frowning:

How terrible! Your friends and their family are definitely in my prayers. May God accept the victims into His loving embrace.

I am sorry for your lost. They are in my prayer.

With prayers for all - Joe

Praying for all…

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

For all those who have been touched by this,
we pray to the Lord. :gopray:

I’m so sorry, this is so sad. I will pray for all involved tonight.

Did they ever catch the person who did this?

Our Father in Heaven
Holy be Your Name
Your Kingdom come
Your Will be done
On earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our sins
As we forgive those who sin against us
Do not bring us to the test
But deliver us from evil.

Hail Mary, full of grace!
The Lord is with you
Blessed are you among women
And Blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God
Pray for us sinners
Now and at the hour of our death.

Glory be to the Father,
And to the Son,
And to the Holy Spirit.

As it was in the beginning
Is now and ever shall be
World without end.

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord,
And let perpetual light shine upon them.

May they rest in peace.

May the souls of the faithfully departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
