Perhaps one of the greatest actors of all time. Paul Scofield had a masterful performance of St. Thomas More in A Man for All Seasons, for which he won an Academy Award.

Unlike some movies made in the 60s, this movie seems timeless. One of my all time favorite movies about one of my favorite saints.

We are sure to not see another like him, and he will be missed.

Scott

The last scene of A Man For All Seasons is one of the greatest scenes in the history of film.

With perhaps half the other scenes ranked second downwards

Personally I love when Thomas says to the Duke ‘and when you go to heaven for following your conscience and I go to hell for not following mine will you go there with me - for friendship’s sake?’

Brilliant film, about a brilliant subject in St Thomas More, acted by a brilliant actor - who could ask for more (pun only slightly intended)?
