Pillars to stay permaently

On Oct 1, there was a military parade and civilian pageant in Beijing, the events marked the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China in 1949, and highlighted the dramatic achievements of recent years. There are something special called the National Unity Pillars. The National Unity Pillars will permanently stay in Tian’anmen Square, the Beijing News quoted Lu Jiankang, National Day celebration background director, as saying on Monday. The 56 pillars representing China’s 56 ethnic groups, were built to celebtate the 60th anniversary of the People’s Republic of China. Each stand 13 metres tall and weighs 26 tons. Images of every ethnic group resplendent in their traditional attire are engraved in the pillars to represent the unity of the nation.
There are 56 ethnic groups in China, Han is the largest, there are 55other ethnic groups call minorities, all the groups have been living in harmony. But in recent years, there are some discordant voices appearing in the world, some people even sponsored the riot which killed many innocent people. All the peoples should unite together just as the meaning of the pillars—the unity of the nation.

I am not sure where this belongs but I am pretty sure it has nothing to do with a discussion of non-Catholic religion.
