The left is getting more extreme.

Quote from the article…The report, “Stand and Deliver,” charges that religious groups, specifically Catholics and Muslims, deny their young access to comprehensive sexual programs and education.

Every time I read anything about PP I just get so bleeeeepin angry.

Note that all of those depicted on the cover of the report are minorities…

Some of this garbage, especially the UN saying masturbation should be taught to 5 year olds, just screams Kinsey. God have mercy on his soul.

“Young people’s sexuality is still contentious for many religious institutions.
Fundamentalist and other religious groups the
– Catholic Church and madrasas (Islamic schools) for example –
have imposed tremendous barriers that prevent young people, particularly,
from obtaining information and services related to sex and reproduction.”
(p. 28 of the PP report)

Equating the Catholic Church with madrasas? :ehh:

From the same page: “Each religion or faith must find a way of explaining and
providing guidance on issues of sex and sexual relationships
among young people, which supports rather than denies
their experiences and needs. By highlighting strong values in
faiths and religions, and overcoming stigma and stereotypes
that religious conventions perpetuate, communities and
leaders can help improve young people’s access to sexual and
reproductive health information and services, and so improve
their health and well-being.”

That’s what I call gobblydegook. :hmmm:
I thought we had a great why of explaining it – The Theology of the Body.

And, from p. 31, a man who has HIV says, “I’ve dated people and I don’t tell them ‘til I see that it might be going somewhere, or after they become a stable partner
or I trust them enough to tell them.”

He doesn’t tell them until after they’ve become a stable partner? I do hope he doesn’t mean a stable sex partner. PP leaves it vague and seems okay with this.

How disgusting. Children don’t need extensive sex education programs like the ones they are calling for! In fact, I don’t think children under the age of 13 should have sex education programs. Maybe appropriate touch education but not sex education!
