Please could you spare a prayer for my grandfather?

#1

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone would mind sparing a prayer or two for my granddad. He is 93 years old and has just been diagnosed with advanced lower bowel cancer. We have an appointment at the local hospital this Thursday to get some more test results. The doctors seem to think that by then they’ll know how long roughly he has.

I know these results won’t be good. And he doesn’t want any treatment, just to be allowed to be left to live out his time comfortably. I’ve been praying that the doctors can at least make him comfortable and hopefully tell us he has a few more months.

Thanks and God bless,

Katherine

Hail Mary, full of grace.
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners, now,
and at the hour of our death. Amen

Dear Lord, we thank You for the long life that You have granted to Katherine’s grandfather. As he comes to the end of this life, Lord, please comfort him and his family. Allow him, Lord, to reap the blessings of such a long life, and the joys he has brought to others. In Jesus name we pray.

All praise and glory are yours,
Lord our God.
For you have called us to serve you and one another in
love.
Bless our sick today so that they may bear their illness
in union with Jesus’ sufferings and restore them quickly
to health.
Bless those who have grown old in your service
and give them courage and strength in their faith.
Lead us all to eternal glory.
We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ,
Your Son, who lives and reigns with you
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
Amen.

Katherine, I will remember your grandfather in my prayers today and every day this week, especially Thursday.:gopray2:

I pray that the doctors will be able to make him comfortable in his last days, but remember, he will be with Our Dear Lord where he will be happy.:hug3:

Lord, I pray for Katherine’s grandfather. May he place his complete confidence in your merciful love and be perfectly abandoned to your merciful love. Keep him true to you in faith and love and keep him filled with hope to see you in heaven. Grant him peaceful and love-filled days with family and friends and may he never be separated from you. Thank you, Lord, for hearing my prayer. Amen.

He will be in my Prayers as well as you and your family. God Bless.

Heavenly Father, please flow between the members of this family the love and blessing You still desire to give Katherine’s grandfather, and those through him that You wish to give their family. Thus, let his coming Home to Heaven be a time of great blessing and spiritual comfort for all.
