Please help! I'm looking for moving songs that (could) have a religious/Christian meaning

There's a lot of heated back and forth between Christians, non-Christians, and a/Atheists, and I thought I'd do my part as a Christian by following a different tact. I want to create videos using my tools and skills which are about dramatic and important figures in Christianity/Catholicism. Like Mother Theresa.

I need music to suit the tone of the figures presented. This is where you come in! As an example:

When She Loved Me

I thought this song would be beautiful for Mother Theresa and the footage that's out there of her, but the lyrics don't quite match up. I'm looking for songs like this. Moving, beautiful, slow, etc.

Any and all suggestions would be helpful!

I forgot to add, songs in different languages, particularly in SPANISH, sound wonderful! Here’s a spanish version of the above song:

Personally, it’s far more beautiful. There’s something about listening to beautiful songs in a different language than your own!

Hello, a song called “I shall not walk alone” by Ben Harper was particularly useful for me when I made a video about Our Lady. You might also consider looking into such composers as Hans Zimmer, and John Debney. Their music is featured on many soundtracks including “Passion of the Christ.” God bless

How 'bout the very upbeat" Top Of The World" by the Carpenters? As to what figure that might apply to...:hmmm: ;)

To go really modern, you may want to use, “Waiting on the World to Change” by John Mayer. I know, not the greatest role model, but wonderful song.

I like "Ordinary Day" by Vanessa Carlton (upbeat), and "This Eye" by Edie Brickell (folksie-slow)...for general Christian inspiration, not associated with a famous holy person.

The Hand Song by Nickel Creek has a clear Christian subtext (Though the main character is a young boy so it’s not a perfect fit… but it IS a great song check it out)

The boy only wanted to give Mother something
And all of her roses had bloomed
Looking at her as he came rushing in with them
Knowing her roses were doomed
All she could see were some thorns buried deep
And the tears that he cried as she tended his wounds

And she knew it was love
It was one she could understand
He was showing his love
And that’s how he hurt his hands

He still remembers that night as child
On his mother’s knee
She held him close and she opened her bible
And quietly started to read
And seeing a picture of Jesus he cried out
"Momma, he’s got some scars just like me."

And he knew it was love
It was one he could understand
He was showing his love
And that’s how he hurt his hands

Now the boy’s grown and moved out on his own
When Uncle Sam comes along
A foreign affair, but our young men were there
And luck had his number drawn
It wasn’t that long till our hero was gone
He gave to a friend what he learned from the cross

But they knew it was love
It was one they could understand
He was showing his love
And that’s how he hurt his hands

It was one they could understand
He was showing his love
And that’s how he hurt his hands
