Please pray for Catholic Missions

#1

Eternal Father, I place before you all the men and women who have responded to your call to help those in need regardless of race or creed or nationality, in all parts of the world especially those who work in aid agencies where the need is greatest. Strengthen their faith and their witness to Your Love. Help them to help others and to spread the Good News.

God of truth and love; Father Son and Holy Spirit,
Hear our prayer for those who do not know You.
That they may come to a saving knowledge of the truth and that Your Name may be praised among all peoples of the world. Sustain, inspire and enlighten Your servants who bring them the Gospel. Bring fresh vigor to wavering faith; sustain our faith when it is still fragile. Continually renew missionary zeal in ourselves and in the Church; raise up new missionaries who will follow You to the ends of the world. Make us witnesses to Your goodness; full of love, strength and faith – for Your glory and the salvation of the entire world.
Through the prayers of St. Paul, St. Francis Xavier
And all the missionary saints, have mercy on us and save us.
Amen

A sister from Notre Dame visited us this week who had been in New Guinea doing misson work. She said that she was asking for our prayers for the missionaries and the people in New Guinea and financial support. She then said the 3rd way we could help was by praying for vocations for more people to share the Word of the Lord. Thank you for bringing this prayer and allowing me to share it!

Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love.
Send forth your Spirit, and they shall be created.
And You shall renew the face of the earth.
O, God, who by the light of the Holy Spirit, did instruct the hearts of the faithful, grant that by the same Holy Spirit we may be truly wise and ever enjoy His consolations. Through Christ Our Lord. Amen.

Eternal Father, we humbly offer Thee our poor presence, and that of the whole of humanity, from the beginning to the end of the world at all the Masses that ever have or ever will be prayed. We offer Thee all the pains, sufferings, prayers, sacrifices, joys, and relaxations of our lives, in union with those of our Lord Jesus here on earth. May the Most Precious Blood of Christ, all His Blood, Wounds, and Agony save us, through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary. Amen.

St. Agnes, although you were only a child,
you believed that Jesus was always with you;
help us to remember that he is also with us,
and to remain true to his presence. Amen.

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

Amen.
