Please pray for DREW who has a Brain Tumor

#1

My Brothers & Sisters:

Please pray for DREW who has a Brain Tumor. I met her son after Mass the other day. He said he didn’t know precisely where this tumor was in her head, but that it was affecting her Motor Control. According to her son, Drew will want to do one thing, say turn left, and she’ll keep going forward because she won’t be able to do it.

Drew is still able to walk (sort of), & her son said he had been told that it was most probably benign (so was my acoustic neuroma - which could have killed me because of where it was located) but like any brain tumor, this is having a real impact on her life and can be potentially life-threatening. The most important thing with brain tumors may not be whether they are Benign or Malignant, but where exactly they are located in the brain…

As the church I saw Drew’s son at has plumbing problems galore, and Drew’s son is a plumber, I’ll probably see him again. When I see him again, I’ll get more details, along with a progress report…

Please pray for Drew’s physicians - That God may guide their hands and their decisions as they treat her, that their treatments may be effective, and that they may be aids to her healing and recovery. Please pray for Drew and her family; For Drew - That God may heal her to prove his glorious power and his steadfast love to a cynical generation & to a Catholic Church in need of a “Certain Trumpet”; and for her family - That God may comfort those whose faith have been wavering, that He may bring back those who have fallen away and that He may strengthen those who are close to Him with His presence.

Please pray that, in all of this, God’s glory, love and grace may be revealed to a sick and fallen humanity.

Thank you.

Your Brother & Servant in Christ, Michael

Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth, as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now,
and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen

*O great and glorious wonder-worker,
St. Peregrine, you have obtained
numerous miracles from God for those
suffering from serious illness. For so
many years you suffered with cancer,
and were favored by the vision of Jesus
coming down from His Cross to cure
your affliction. We ask you to intercede
on our behalf for the healing of Drew.

Obtain for us, St. Peregrine, the grace to
patiently endure all sufferings, so that
we may, in imitation of your virtue,
 more profoundly love our crucified
 Lord, His sorrowful Mother, and
 through your intercession merit glory
 everlasting. Amen.*

For Drew

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth; and in Jesus
Christ, His only Son, our Lord: Who was
conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the
Virgin Mary; suffered under Pontius
Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried.
He descended into hell; the third day He
rose again from the dead; He ascended
into heaven, is seated at the right hand of
God the Father Almighty; from thence He
shall come to judge the living and the
dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the
Holy Catholic Church, the communion of
Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the
resurrection of the body, and life
everlasting. Amen.

O great St. Peregrine, you have been called “The Mighty,” “The Wonder-Worker,” because of the numerous miracles which you have obtained from God for those who have had recourse to you.

For so many years you bore in your own flesh this cancerous disease that destroys the very fibre of our being, and who had recourse to the source of all grace when the power of man could do no more. You were favoured with the vision of Jesus coming down from His Cross to heal your affliction. Ask of God and Our Lady, the cure of the sick whom we entrust to you.
(Drew)

Aided in this way by your powerful intercession, we shall sing to God, now and for all eternity, a song of gratitude for His great goodness and mercy.
Amen.
