Please pray for me..marriage in crisis

#1

Please say a prayer for me…I am desperate and turning to the Lord…I have been married 16 years with 2 beautiful children… Granted we had our share of problems, especially financially, but we were always so strong…2 weeks ago my husband said he was no longer in love with me, though he did love me…He left home and 2 days later he told me he had an affair… I wanted to try counseling and he said he would try. He came back home for about 2 weeks, said nothing changed and he left again yesterday…He has since hung out with this other woman 2 days now and my heart is breaking…He has always been such a good man, good husband and good father, but he has since turned into a monster and has broken my heart and home…as well as our family. I think he is in the midst of a mid life crisis because he started working out, drinking again, and having this affair…My life feels like it is crumbling around me and I just want our family again…I have prayed over and over and I am asking you all to pray for us as well…please…

Dear Father in Heaven, please heal this marriage and turn the heart of the husband back to his wife.

Our Father who art in Heaven,
Hallowed be Thy name,
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen.

This breaks my heart. I will keep you in prayer daily.

Blessings,

Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the Fruit Of Thy Womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen

Joseph, strengthen in this family

every bond of love which unites them –

the marriage bond,

the love of parent and child,

the bonds of mutual love between all.

Joseph, protect this family

from every danger from without

and from every threat

to peace, unity and harmony within.

Joseph, teach them to be

kind and loving towards one another,

careful for one another,

tolerant of one another,

forgiving towards one another.

Joseph, may contentment with our lot

and joy in each other

abound in thier house,

as they seek faithfully to serve

and greatly to love God.

Joseph, be you yourself

a father towards the family of thiers,

and pray Mary

be a mother to them.

Amen

Lord, I pray for c2s2 and her husband. Her husband does sound like he is going through a mid-life crisis. This story reminds me of what St. Rita had to go through with her husband. Her husband was unfaithful and had his problems, but she remained loving him and praying for him all the while. May c2s2 never give up praying for her husband. Convert his heart, Lord. May he find that nothing but you and a life faithful to his wife and wedding vows will bring him true happiness. I pray that a good, holy priest can talk with c2s2’s husband and even with c2s2 to help her cope with her husbands crisis. Lord, bring this couple’s crisis to a happy ending. May c2s2 place her confidence in your merciful love and be devoted to saving her marriage by constantly praying and keeping faith in you. Amen.

**PRAYER AGAINST DEPRESSION **
(By Saint Ignatius of Loyola)

O Christ Jesus,
when all is darkness
and we feel our weakness and helplessness,
give us the sense of Your presence,
Your love, and Your strength.
Help us to have perfect trust
in Your protecting love
and strengthening power,
so that nothing may frighten or worry us,
for, living close to You,
we shall see Your hand,
Your purpose, Your will through all things.

Amen.

C2S2,

I greatly sympathize with your pain and sorrow. It breaks my heart too.

Most gracious Father in heaven, I echo the prayers offered above and ask you, the author of the bonds of marriage, the giver of this most precious gift meant not only for the earthly needs of man and woman, of parents and children, but also for the upbuilding of each person in the family in their relationship with you unto salvation in Christ, please I beg you, help C2S2’s husband to see how he is turning his back on you and your salvation in favor of seeking after the lures of this world and the momentary escape from the problems of life. Help him see his emptiness is not an emptiness in the things of this world but an emptiness of heart for his wife and children and for you. Grant him the grace to fill his heart again, and help him to want it. Reconcile this family and make them an instrument in your hands to bring other broken marriages and families the hope that there is healing and hope to be found in you. Help C2S2 to weather the storm that is likely to rage for a while, and to leave the clouds of sadness to linger longer than she would like as you seek to bring her husband to a conversion. Grant her the peace to know that you will see her and her children through this crisis. And once a reconcilliation should begin, grant both C2S2 and her husband the humility to be open to whatever help you will offer them so that they both may be transformed in the ability to love one another and to rest content in your love and mercy, no matter the challenges of this life. We ask this through Christ our Lord who brings the new wine of your refreshment and strength to marriages where your children seek you. Amen.

Jesus it is untrue for a person to say they love another if they treat them so heartlessly.
Please awaken this husband and father to the reality of his heartlesslness and selfishness, and please help him to grow to genuinely love.

He also no longer respects himself as hsi behaviour signifies, so please help him past the confusion and depression that leads him to drinking and adultery.

Please save his soul and his true self as given by God, and help him to become the person, the husband, and the father that You desire him to be. He has free will so no one can force him to healing and conversion, You can only continue to offer him the necessary graces. That he may accept them, Lord Jesus!
Please give his wife and children support, reassurance and healing.

Thank You, Jesus

but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is love and mercy itself. Amen.
