Please pray for me.

As the site says “It appears you have not posted in our forums in quite some time.” I have not. I used to do so a lot. I was learning the way of apologetics and did not doubt Our Lord at all. The saints and the Blessed Mother were close to my heart.
I will not say I lost my faith. But somehow I mislaid it. I have snatches of it which appear at random times. The pain they cause me is shuffled away quickly as I distract myself with worldly rubbish.
My marriage is what I believe triggered this. Suffice it to say that after 39 years, he has lost interest in me and it is a stumbling block for me. He has not treated me like a wife in 6 years or more. Neither does he respond to me physically or otherwise. He is a good man, good provider, loving grandfather, and caring father. We have discussed this a number of times, with a counselor and without. As he pushed me away, I found things to do not including him. They now fill my life. Mass is not one of them. Along with the other problems I developed social anxiety and panic attacks. Now almost all the time I am home. I do not choose to leave it much. It is too frightening.
I know I should thank God that he still lives and that our marriage is intact. But often there are times I am not thankful for this at all.
I know I need to go to confession. I need to straighten out the mess in my life.
So, as far as prayer intentions go: Please pray for my faith to return to me. Please pray for my marriage. Please prayer for me, a sinner in need of her Savior. Thank you.

Lord Jesus Christ, most merciful Saviour of the world, we humbly beseech You, by Your most Sacred Heart, that all the sheep who stray out of Your fold may in one days be converted to You, the Shepherd and Bishop of their souls, who lives and reigns with God the Father in the unity of the Holy Spirit, world without end.
Amen.

Lord, please grant this wife and husband many graces, that the Father’s love permeate their marriage. Show them the value of true love, which reaches summits in the face of difficulty. Instill in them a zeal to love heroically, to love in a greater way, in the face of hardship, and not just when the cross feels light. Grant them graces for faith, hope, love, and joy and lead them with these virtues ever toward the eternal garden of peace and joy. Send angels to always guide them and minister to them, and to help them renew and reignite passion in a new, giving, and holy way. Have mercy, Lord. Our Lady, angels, and saints, pray with us. Amen.

Very sorry you are going through this.

Go to confession, and then start attending Mass every Sunday, and pray the Rosary.

Your mindset and faith will improve. And hopefully your marriage will, too.

[INDENT]Our Lady of Mental Peace

O Lady of Mental Peace,
Mother of Tranquility and
Mother of Hope,
look upon me in this time
of disquiet and stress.

Still my restless spirit,
teach my searching heart to know
that God’s love for me
is unchanging and that the suffering
which He may will for me now
is to draw me closer to Him.

Let thy gentle peace and His —
which the world cannot give —
be always with me, that I may
be sanctified: and then:
I beseech thee
for the grace to bring this
peace to others.

Jesus, My Savior, I give myself
entirely to Thee through Mary:

Our Lady of Mental Peace,
pray for me!

Prayer for Faith

Lord, I believe:
I wish to believe in Thee.
Lord, let my faith be full and unreserved,
and let it penetrate my thought,
my way of judging Divine things and human things.
Lord, let my faith be joyful
and give peace and gladness to my spirit,
and dispose it for prayer with God
and conversation with men,
so that the inner bliss of its fortunate possession
may shine forth in sacred and secular conversation.
Lord, let my faith be humble and not presume
to be based on the experience of my thought and of my feeling;
but let it surrender to the testimony of the Holy Spirit,
and not have any better guarantee than in docility to Tradition
and to the authority of the magisterium of the Holy Church.
Amen.

Prayer For Troubled Marriage

O St. Rita,

Make us understand that a vocation is not only a matter of attraction.

Enable us to see clearly that it is also a matter of finding, in ordinary events, God’s will for us and then accepting it even if it seems to be baffling and contrary to our wishes.

Teach those called to the marriage state by the Lord to reflect deeply on the delicate choice that will influence their destiny.

Let them not be deceived by their feelings; instead, let them look for the solid qualities that keep a home united in the joy of the Lord.

Teach unhappy spouses the power of patience and mildness. Let them not give way to discouragement but, like you, let them save both the happiness of their home and the soul of their spouse.

O St. Rita, we ask this through your name and in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Prayers

Gracious and merciful Father, please come to her assistance.

Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed are thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Glory Be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen.

I have many many thoughts on your post, due to my marital demise. I do know that God wants our well being and joy. I am glad your spouse is a good person. You are too. You wouln’t be here otherwise. I pray for your re-connection and for your ever deepening relationship with God. With Him as our starting point, all things are possible.

I tried Retrouvaille www.retrouvaille.org/ with my former spouse. It works very well for couples while both are willing to take a final concerted effort when it seems other means have failed. God’s peace find you.

Praying to the Holy Spirit to give you guidance, direction, strength, fortitude & wisdom in your time of need.

:highprayer:

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known that anyone who fled
to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought
thy intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired with this confidence, I fly unto thee,
O Virgin of virgins, my Mother;
to thee do I come, before thee do I stand,
sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise
not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear
and answer me.
Amen

Lord, Jesus, my family needs your help today. We need your peace and
tranquility, an end to discord. Give us strength and compassion to
understand each other, and the trust and patience we need to live
peacefully together. Grant that through the intercession of Your mother,
Mary, and St. Joseph, our family too may become a holy family, a
family that works together as one, a family that embraces peace and
love, a family whose members are dedicated to each other and to You.
Amen

Prayer for Faith in Time of Doubt
I don’t even know what to say, Blessed Lord;
I am so confused.

I am caught in the midst of a violent crisis of faith;
so uncertain and doubtful.
I am going through a difficult time
in
what touches the depth of my belief.
I am almost tempted to give
in to impatience and despair.
Something within me cries out for
You,
yet You seem not to be there.
I have broken away from
many childhood beliefs.
I decided to let me faith pass through
the filter
of my personal experience.
Suddenly, I found myself to
far from You,
from security and certainty.
If I still turn to You,
Blessed Lord,
it is because I have not yet lost
the hope of
finding
an exit door
for my spiritual anguish.
I begin to realize
that
by myself I will not be able to overcome
life’s ambiguities and
contradictions.
I know the mystery of You continues,
and that my
faith-existence is a challenge
to be embraced.
The light of Your
occasional shadowy presence
makes me see that my crisis
comes
from the depth of my maturity,
from the depth of my faith.

The irony, Lord;
there is a crisis of doubt
only because there is faith.

Perhaps I have become to demanding
and to positive.
Open my
heart Lord,
to the right attitude
when confronted with questions
of my
faith.
Amen

Praying for your marriage and your panic attacks, that God will heal both.

Praying for God’s way to win out here.

I will pray a Divine Mercy Chaplet for you. God bless…
