Please Pray for my 19 yr old son

#1

We haven’t seen him in 3 months. He wants nothing to do with the church or us, his parents. Something has got ahold of him tight and won’t let him go. I have been praying for him but I think we need some prayer warriors in this situation. When he does send messages, the messages contain alot of vulgar language. Language that I would never use, much less on my parents.
He has no idea how much he hurts me by acting this way. Or maybe he does realize it.
What prayer or novena (or patron saint) could I use on a situation like this?

I’m praying…

Hail Mary, full of grace.
Our Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

TexRose, I’m so sorry. I’ll pray for your son. I found this site that has a prayer to St. Monica on it - give it a try.

I"ll keep him in my prayers. St. Monica might be a good choice.

I will pray for your son and your entire family as well. I am sure that this must be very painful as his mother.:signofcross:

Thank you. He is my baby! :frowning: My heart just aches.
Please please pray for him. We also found out that his girlfriend is expecting a baby. I want him to be a responsible father as my husband is and always has been. I want the best for him and now for that baby. I have such mix feelings about this. I was happy that i’m going to be a grandmother but also worried, etc. ugh.
You would not believe this but his girlfriend’s name is Monica!
I will look at the link on St Monica.

I will pray that St. Augustine can help him.

I will pray for your son and for the family. My son will be 19 in one month and at times he does seem far away. His participation in peer ministry groups I believe has helped keep him grounded and he is a blessing and a good shepherd. But as a parent we know we are all just one heated argument away from your situation. Praying for healing, grace, compassion, mercy, and resolution for you and yours. We are with you in spirit.

I’m on it. Teenagers like us do awesomely self-destructive things for no reason sometimes.
