Please pray for my belief

Doubt (that is mainly irrational that mockingly attacks anything without certainty, basically everything, and that which I find the most comfort in) and uncertainty poison my mind leaving me feeling baseless, weak, and lost. Please pray that at least my weak will may not falter and find the strength and sight so I may cling to God in faith, hope, and love despite it, in all things and with all people. Pray that I may not forget, amidst this shadow, what clear logical truths have been revealed to me in reasoning, but still pray that for the Good, I may ‘believe so that I may understand’.

I assure you with all my Faith in God that in your deepest and darkest night of your soul God is so very close to you heart and soul. Maybe these words won’t bring comfort but I know that God as a Shepherd of Souls is carrying you close to His Sacred Heart.

Our Father, Who art in heaven
Hallowed be Thy Name;
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

When at times I feel discouraged,
and my soul is rent with fear,
When I need to be encouraged,
then I trust my Lord is near;
Just a pause in meditation
bowing with my Lord in prayer,
Fills my soul with inspiration,
lightens every earthly care.

If in weakness I may falter,
from the path perchance I stray,
Jesus meets me at the altar,
there to help me when I pray;
Heaven’s pathway glows much brighter
when my load He helps to share,
And my burdens are much lighter
every time we meet in prayer.

Mortal friends may often fail me,
earthly joys may pass away,
But I know my Lord won’t leave me,
when I pause with Him to pray;
With His heavenly admiration,
with a grace none can compare,
Seals anew our close relation
in the moments spent in prayer.

Not a price of earthly measure,
can repay the debt of love,
From the depths of Heaven’s treasure,
filled with mercy from above;
Grant, dear Lord, I may not waver,
from the path may I not stray,
Keep me, Lord, within Thy favor,
in Thy grace, Lord, help me stay.

Dear Lord, help Dranu be commited to following you even when things make no sense and doubt darkens his way. Blessed Teresa of Calcutta had a serious dark night she lived through, yet lived as one with perfect faith. She gave her assent to faith and practiced her faith, even when she had no reason to believe due to her doubt and darkness. Blessed Teresa of Calcutta, please intercede for Dranu and help him live his dark night as faithfully as you did so he can be with you, Jesus, and Mary for all eternity when Our Lord calls him at the end of his life. Amen.

Praying from today’s Liturgy of the Hours:

Come quickly and hear me, O Lord,
for my spirit is weakening.
Do not hide your face from me,
do not let me be like the dead,
who go down to the underworld.
Show me your mercy at daybreak,
because of my trust in you.
Tell me the way I should follow,
for I lift up my soul towards you.
Rescue me from my enemies:
Lord, I flee to you for refuge.
Teach me to do your will,
for you are my God.

“I believe, Lord, help my unbelief”

Hail, holy Queen, Mother of mercy;
our life, our sweetness and our hope. To
thee do we cry, poor banished children of
Eve: to thee do we send up our sighs,
mourning and weeping in this vale of tears.
Turn then, most gracious Advocate, thine
eyes of mercy toward us, and after this our
exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy
womb, Jesus, O clement, O loving, O sweet
Virgin Mary. Pray for us, O holy Mother of
God that we may be made worthy of the
promises of Christ. Amen.

Hail Mary,
full of grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the Fruit Of Thy Womb,
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.

Father please give Dranu lifelong gifts of deep faith and faithfulness

Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth, as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
Forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now,
and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Domine Iesu, dimitte nobis debita nostra, salva nos ab igne inferiori, perduc in caelum omnes animas, praesertim eas, quae misericordiae tuae maxime indigent.

I am praying for your belief

Hail Mary, full of grace
The Lord be with thee.
Blessed art thou among women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus
Holy Mary, Mother of God
Pray for us sinners
Now and at the hour of our death

Act of Faith

O My God, I firmly believe that Thou art one God in Three Divine Persons, Father, Son and Holy Ghost. I believe that Thy Divine Son became Man, and died for our sins, and that He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe these and all the truths which the Holy Catholic Church teaches, because Thou hast revealed them, Who canst neither deceive nor be deceived.

Thank you for the prayers. I can sort of see light once more, though I realize now the uncertainty we have to live with, and our utter dependence on His grace. It seems it might have been a gift in disguise.

That’s also what my parish priest says, including regarding the ‘gift’. God bless you, and may Mary who lived in faith and pondering much of the time, pray for you,
and for all who battle sometimes with doubt.
