Please Pray for my friend who is very troubled and disturbed

#1

Hi there,

I have a good friend, well he’s more than a good friend. We were seeing each other for a while. He was raised in a good Catholic family, but once he got to college he started becoming addicted to Japanese anime. This is causing him to literally lose his mind. He’s completely taken by it, to the point of where he’s losing his grip on reality. He thinks that Church is making him crazy because he’s told to go every week, and is refusing Mass. He has been telling me that the Chuch was an accident, so why does he have to go? I’m trying to tell him that he needs God. But he’s just being so defiant. In one show he’s watching it was violent, and he’s accusing me of plotting to destroy him, like in the show. He thinks I’m the one with problems and he’s attempting to try to change me. I’m scared he’s going to hurt himself seriously. He frightens me so much. It’s gotten to a point where it’s out of my hands. I’m praying like a mad woman for him. Last night, I was flipping through my prayer book, and found St. Rita, Patron of the Impssobile. I thought she was appropriate for him.

St. Rita, please ask Jesus to grant peace upon my “impssobile” friend. Help him come back to God. I ask this through your good name, St. Rita. Please pray for him.

I would appreciate it if you could say a little prayer for him.

Thanks. :slight_smile:

Peace of Our Lord be with you both.

Jeanne it sounds a bit scary.
I implore You, Jesus, to rescue this young man from whatever evil spirit comes with his obsession, and/or to uncover and bring to treatment any mental aberration that is causing his erratic thinking and behaviour.

Beloved Archangel Michael, I humbly and trustingly ask Your intercession and intervention for this young man.

Thank you all so much for the prayers. They have been slowly working. and they help ease my mind a lot.

We had progress and failure. He talked to me for a good while one day. He seemed very sane. We had a small-talk conversation, but he was calm. Yesterday (Sunday) he offered to go to Mass with his sisister. He ended up leaving her there alone, because he said he has no religion anymore. He won’t respond to any reasonable argument about the Catholic Church. The only thing I can do is pray. I have this definite hope and faith in my soul that God is taking care of him. I just have this great trust that God will take care of Him. I know He will. But I feel so upset and worried about him. It’s so discuraging.

Please continue to pray, I appreciate it so much.

Heavenly Father, please help and deliver Jeanne’s friend. Please guide him to medical and counseling and spiritual help for his addictions and the resulting problems. May your will be done in his life. Also, Father, please assist Jeanne as she tries to help her friend. May your will be done in Jeanne’s life. Amen.

Lord Jesus,You said,
"I have come to set the captives free."
We are captive and need Your healing touch.
Free us, Lord, from our addictions,
so that we will be:
…free from the cares and worries that stifle our happiness;
…free from sins that cling to us, and to which we cling;
…free from all compulsive behavior
that prevents us from becoming what You, Lord,
have planned for us.
Bring us, loving Savior,
to the experience of abundantlife
which You promised.

Amen.

AMEN!!!

Lord Jesus Christ, You have willed that St. Dymphna should be invoked by thousands of clients as the patroness of nervous and mental disease and have brought it about that her interest in these patients should be an inspiration to and an ideal of charity throughout the world. Grant that, through the prayers of this youthful martyr of purity, those who suffer from nervous and mental illness everywhere on earth may be helped and consoled. .

Be pleased to hear the prayers of St. Dymphna and of Your Blessed Mother. Give those whom I recommend the patience to bear with their affliction and resignation to do Your divine will. Give them the consolation they need and especially the cure they so much desire, if it be Your will. Through Christ, Our Lord. Amen.
