Please pray for my job situation

#1

Hello CAF,

Once again I turn to the prayer warriors of CAF to help me obtain new and suitable work for myself. Currently, I work in the field of corrections and I am struggling greatly where I am at. Because of the work I am in and the weekly schedule changes, I am burnt out and sufferin greatly at my job. I just inteviewed for a new position which would allow me to have a regular schedule and would release me from my current job. Mainly, I want a regular schedule to make more commitments to the church, discern whether I have a vocation as a lay Carmalite, study more on the faith, and most of all to grow closer to God and have time for myself and my future family (I am getting married in May 2010). So please pray for me, the competition is BRUTAL (Only 2 out of 33 are getting hired), and I have been giving into despair a lot lately being stuck where I am. As you all know, the economy is not doing well and quitting this particular job would not be prudent without having something else lined up. However, a job like mine tends to bring a lot of physical and spiritual sufferings, which I am finding out that I am really not cut out for. Please pray for me! Thanks!

so I’ll keep you in my prayers, with all you’ve mentioned in mind.

Praying that you get a new opportunity ...

Hail Mary,
full of grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,

and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Our Father who art in heaven
hallowed be thy name
thy kingdom come
thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven
give us this day our daily bread
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgvie those who trespass against us
and lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil
Amen

Have you considered looking for other state jobs–outside the Corrections field? You might find better family-friendly jobs that way. I know in Oregon they expect an awful lot out of the Corrections officers, but they are not always treated very well by state administrators. Case in point, the state employee furlough days weren’t working well for Corrections officers because of the 24/7 shift requirements, so they were asked to simply work these days–for no pay.

O Lord, Holy Father, omnipotent and eternal God, I give You thanks and I bless Your holy name. I know I’m a poor miserable sinner but hear a cause that is just, pay heed to my cry, turn your ear to my prayer, no deceit is on my lips. Amen

For your intentions……

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now, and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Lord Jesus, hear my prayers for these intentions. Amen

“If God brings it to you- God will bring you through it.”
