Please pray for my Mother's repose

#1

My brethren,

My mother passed away today, Jan 2. Please pray for the repose of her soul in Christ.

Thank you.

Steve.

PS: I had posted this earlier in a different area. Sorry Moderators.

Steve:

Here’s a prayer some of the Orthodox brothers gave me after Theresa Schindler Schiavo died. I’ve found it to be comforting. There’s a LOT more prayer than what I’ve printed here:

AKATHIST for the REPOSE of Those Who have FALLEN ASLEEP

O Lord of unutterable Love, remember Thy servants who have fallen asleep.

May your mother through the mercy and love of God Rest in Peace.

Your Bother in Christ, Michael

Eternal Father, I offer Thee the most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son Jesus in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass around the world for the repose of the soul of Steve’s mother. Amen.

Steve, I would like to extend my sincerest sympathies to you.

God bless,
Noel.

Our Father in Heaven
Holy be Your Name
Your Kingdom come
Your Will be done
On earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our sins
As we forgive those who sin against us
Do not bring us to the test
But deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace!
The Lord is with you
Blessed are you among women
And Blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God
Pray for us sinners
Now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Glory be to the Father,
And to the Son,
And to the Holy Spirit.

As it was in the beginning
Is now and ever shall be
World without end.
Amen.

Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord,
And let perpetual light shine upon her.

May she rest in peace.
Amen.

May the souls of the faithfully departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Amen.
