Please pray for my porn addiction

I’ve cut it down from 3-4 times a day as a young teen to 3-4 times a week as an 18 year old. I hope to continue improving. It seems impossible for me to quit altogether. Please pray.

May the Lord Jesus grant you strength to overcome such impurity. May I suggest going to Confession regularly and praying fervently. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

May God bless you abundantly and forever!

I am praying for you. I am a female, married and pregnant and have always had an issue with porn. (I know I am the last person that would seem that have it, which makes it difficult to face). So I am with you

**A Prayer for Those Suffering Pornography Addiction
**
Jesus, Lover of chastity,
Mary, Mother most pure,
and Joseph, chaste guardian of the Virgin,
to you I ask at this hour,
begging you to plead with God for me.
I earnestly wish to be pure in thought,
word and deed in imitation of your own holy purity.

Obtain for me, then, a deep sense of modesty
which will be reflected in my external conduct.
Protect my eyes, the windows of my soul,
from anything that might dim the luster of a heart
that must mirror only Christlike purity.

And when the “Bread of Angels” becomes
the “Bread of Me” in my heart at Holy Communion,
seal it forever against the suggestions of sinful pleasures.

Heart of Jesus, Fount of All Purity,
have mercy on us.

:gopray2:

You make me jealous. I still have 2 or 3 day bouts now and again.

You are, of course, in my prayers.

My Jesus, I offer this intention to Your Most Sacred Heart

Our father who art in Heaven
Hallowed be thy name
Thy kingdom come
Thy will be done
On earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread
Forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those who trespass against us
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil
Amen

Eternal God in whom mercy is endless
And treasury of compassion inexhaustible
Look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us
so that in difficult moments, we may not despair
Nor become despondent
But with great confidence, submit ourselves to Your Holy will
Which is love and mercy itself
Amen

Praying to the Holy Spirit to give you guidance, direction, strength, fortitude & wisdom to overcome your temptations.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Pater Noster. Ave María thrice, after each: per tuam immaculatam conceptionem, O Maria, redde purum corpus meum et sanctam animam meam (By thy Immaculate Conception, O Mary, make my body pure & my soul holy).

Lord, in every need let me come to You with humble trust saying, “Jesus, help me.”
In all my doubts, perplexities, and temptations, Jesus, help me.
In hours of loneliness, weariness, and trials, Jesus, help me.
In the failure of my plans and hopes; in disappointments, troubles, and sorrows, Jesus, help me.
When others fail me and Your grace alone can assist me, help me.
When I throw myself on Your tender love as a father and savior, Jesus, help me.
When my heart is cast down by failure at seeing no good come from my efforts, Jesus, help me.
When I feel impatient and my cross irritates me, Jesus, help me.
When I am ill and my head and hands cannot work and I am lonely, Jesus, help me.
Always, always, in spite of weakness, falls, and shortcomings of every kind, Jesus, help me and never forsake me.
Amen.

Accomplishing a chaste life is not an easy matter, to be sure. My advice is to do your best to establish a --sincere and fervent-- DAILY prayer life. This must include daily recitation of the Holy Rosary, daily Mass attendance if possible, weekly confession and enrollment in the Angelic Warfare Confraternity (search the name on the net), listen to ‘talks’ by priests on the internet on this subject. Porn addiction is worse than chemical (drug, alcohol) addiction. Find a Spiritual Director and be completely open with him/her. I offer my personal prayers for you now, and every day that you will soon break away from the “slavery” of this problem. I am speaking to you from my own past experience ! Please feel free to ‘PM’ me if you wish .[BIBLEDRB][/BIBLEDRB]

Gracious and merciful Father, please come to their assistance.

Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Glory Be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen.

Our Father who art in heaven
Jesus, I offer this intention to Your most Sacred Heart

Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil

Hail Mary full of grace

The Memorare
Remember,
O most gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known,
that anyone who fled to thy protection,
implored thy help
or sought thy intercession,
was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee,
O Virgin of virgins, my Mother.
To thee I come, before thee I stand,
sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word Incarnate,
despise not my petition,
but in thy mercy hear and answer me.
Amen.

**Road Ahead **

“My Lord God, I have no idea where I am going.
I do not see the road ahead of me.
I cannot know for certain where it will end.
Nor do I really know myself, and the fact that I think I am following your will does not mean that I am actually doing so.
But I believe that the desire to please you does in fact please you.
And I hope I have that desire in all that I am doing.
I hope that I will never do anything apart from that desire.
And I know that if I do this you will lead me by the right road,
……though I may know nothing about it.
Therefore I will trust you always though I may seem to be lost
……and in the shadow of death. I will not fear,
……for you are ever with me, and you will never leave me
……to face my perils alone.”

Let Nothing Disturb You
Let nothing disturb you,
Let nothing frighten you,
All things are passing away:
God never changes.

Patience,
Obtains all things,

Lacks nothing:
God alone suffices.

**Prayer Against Depression
**………….By St Ignatius of Loyola
O Christ Jesus
When all is darkness
And we feel our weakness and helplessness,
Give us the sense of Your Presence,
Your Love and Your Strength.
Help us to have perfect trust
In Your protecting love
And strengthening power,
So that nothing may frighten or worry us,
For, living close to You,
We shall see Your Hand,
Your Purpose, Your Will through all things.

Hello everyone, thanks for you prayers. I’m currently on an 8 day streak without a setback and hopefully I can get to 30. The devil is extremely subtle about addiction and can convince people that “just one more time” is okay when it’s not.

I’m using Fortify’s porn addiction recovery program, btw. If anyone reading this has similar struggles, I’d check it out. I get it for free since I"m under a certain age.
