Please pray for our Bishop

Our Bishop Frederick Campbell of Columbus Diocese of Ohio is having surgery today to amputate a leg below the knee. He has fought skin cancer and infection in the leg for over a year. Please pray that he will recover and be able to return to taking care of his Flock! We love him!

Father, in Jesus’ name please ensure that the surgery to amputate the Bishops’s leg will be successful and without complications. Please grant that his rehabilitation will be smooth and that he will continue to live a blessed life as he leads the Catholics of Columbus Diocese of Ohio.
Thank You, Father.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death.
Amen.

From today’s Liturgy of the Hours:

Prayers and Intercessions

Let us humbly call on the Lord Jesus Christ, who rescued us, his people, from our sins.
– Jesus, Son of David, take pity on us.

We pray to you, Christ, for your holy Church. You gave yourself up to sanctify her, washing her clean with the Word of life.
Renew your Church and bring her to purity through repentance.
– Jesus, Son of David, take pity on us.

Good master, show the young the path that you have chosen for each one of them,
that they may follow the direction that is best for them.
– Jesus, Son of David, take pity on us.

You took pity on our weaknesses: raise the spirits of the sick, give them health,
and make us, too, eager to care for them.
– Jesus, Son of David, take pity on us.

Help us to remember the dignity conferred on us through baptism,
that we may always live for you.
– Jesus, Son of David, take pity on us.

Give peace to the dead, and glory;
and grant that we, like them, may one day reign with you in heaven.
– Jesus, Son of David, take pity on us.

Our Father, who art in Heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

O God, your inexhaustible grace enriches us with every blessing.
Give us the gift of abandoning our old life and becoming new,
to be ready for the glory of your heavenly kingdom.

Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God for ever and ever.
Amen.

Loving God,

We thank you for your many blessings in our lives and today we thank you especially for the gift of great Church leaders. We lift up the intentions today of RazzsMom on behalf of her Bishop Frederick Campbell and the hopes that all will go well with his difficult and challenging medical treatments and recovery. Lord, the people of his flock love this Bishop and ask for your intervention in his recovery process in accordance with your Holy and perfect will. This dear man will endure a great suffering and sense of loss with this procedure, please grant him competent and caring medical care givers and compassion and love from all who support him during this time. Lord, you have presented a new opportunity for suffering to the Bishop, please help him to join his suffering with the suffering of your beloved Son Jesus on the Cross for the benefit of your people. Please comfort Bishop Campbell and let him feel and discern the great care and love You and his flock have for him so he can be renewed and come back to his vocation as quickly as You will for him.

We pray in the name of your beloved son Jesus, the Good Shepherd of your people.

Amen.
