Please pray for our son who has started on anxiety medicine

#1

Our 16 year old son Andrew has been suffering with school anxiety for years. This school year it grew much worse. He was seeing the pyscologist and it got to the point where we felt we had no alternative but to start him on medication. He will be finding out next week what classes he failed, please keep him in your prayers. It was only last year we were asking for prayers for our daughter who suffers from OCD, and now we have our son on medication too (Thank God she is doing better).

Thank you so much!

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners,
now, and at the hour of our death. Amen.

I went through the same thing when I was in school. It went away the closer I got to Christ. Put these sermons and talks on his ipod. It may help him as it helped me.

Holding him in my prayers

Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth, as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Lord, please help Andrew with his anxiety difficulty. If he needs to take medicine I pray the medicine will offer positive results. Help him to keep faith and to keep trusting in You during his struggle with his anxiety. Make him well again, Lord, and may he always have good family and friends to help him get through his difficult times. Amen.

Praying…

#10

Loving God,

We thank you for your many blessings in our lives and today we thank you for the gift of children and loving parents. We lift up in prayer and petition the intentions of our friend Donna on behalf of dear son Andrew who is struggling in school and with anxiety. Please send your comforting and consoling Holy Spirit to be with Andrew, and help all who minister to him (family, friends, medical personnel, school personnel) to show compassion and concern while also helping him to focus on improving his coping skills to help manage his situation. Lord, please also help Andrew to find balance in his life through prayer, exercise, music or reading, and fellowship to help strengthen him for the journey of life and to provide him with strategies for dealing with his anxiety concerns. Please bless the doctors and medical staff who tend to him and help them to address his situation in the best way possible. Lord, we know that you love us unconditionally and that you can heal all human illness and weakness, please grant Andrew healing in accordance with your Holy and perfect will, and strong faith, courage, and hope in You. Please also provide the dear family with grace and strength as they minister to Andrew during this challenging time. Parents often feel inadequate or very concerned about their inability to absorb or mitigate the suffering of their children, and we know that they always want the very best for each child, please comfort the parents and help them now as well, dear Lord.

We pray in the name of your beloved son Jesus, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God for ever and ever.

Amen.

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. I can’t tell you how much we appreciate your prayers. This school year has been horrible for Andrew, I have had health problems, and several other stressful things have been going on. I think that since August the four of us have had more doctor appointments than in the last five years! God bless you all!

Divine Physician, in the month of Your Sacred Heart, we ask that you watch over the doctors and nurses who take care of Your little ones, comfort their parents, and help these children to grow in strength of mind and body. Through Your mercy, Amen.

As a parent of a son who battles anxiety, know that you will be in our prayers! This is a cross God gives to those who can handle it, even though we don’t know we can. Place your trust in His help and God will provide!
