Please pray for those who are former Catholics

#1

Sunday during his homily,Fath Ed mentioned that 1 in 10 adults in the US is a former Catholic. Should these people form a church, it would be the 2nd largest church in the nation. Lets pray that there will be a rich pouring out of the Holy Sprit on these people. May they be drawn back to Mother Church. Lord, please help them miss the church and long to be back in communion with her.

Ave Maria, gratia plena,
Dominus tecum,
benedicta tu in mulieribus,
et benedictus fructus ventris tui Iesus.
Sancta Maria mater Dei,
ora pro nobis peccatoribus, nunc, et in hora mortis nostrae.
Amen

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now, and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us form the fires of hell, lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of your mercy. Amen.

May God our dear Lord and loving Father touch the hearts of these children and bring them back home.

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy kingdom come;
Thy will be done on earth
as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those
who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil
Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace;
The Lord is with Thee.
Blessed art Thou among women
and blessed is the fruit of Thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Glory be to The Father,
and to The Son, and to
The Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now,
and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen

Yes, I've heard, also, that one in ten Americans are ex-Catholics. That would mean about 30,000,000. Probably half of those are unchurched. The other half have gone to other churches, mainly mainline or evangelical Protestant churches.

Since I don't believe that God judges us by our creed, color, culture or country, I don't think church affiliation makes that much difference. God looks at our hearts. When the lawyer asked Christ how he could gain eternal life, Jesus didn't mention any church or doctrine, but gave the parable of the Good Samaritan. Re-read Matt. 25:31-46. Nothing about a specific church connection, either. I'm convinced that Protestants and other non-Catholics will get to heaven in as large a proportion as others. We need less tribalism, less religious particularism, fewer 'must believe' dogmas, and more love for God and one another.

 God bless all his children.
