Please Pray For...

A co-worker having surgery

Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, Full of Grace, The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women, and blessed are the fruit of thy whom Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Hello all.

My dad is very hurtful when it looks like I need help. Yes, he offers but it includes some smart aleck, quite insensitive remark to the tone that I am stupid or about to make a mistake. It leave me with the feeling that I can’t do anything right.

I keep telling myself that God loves me and he cares a whole universe more than my dad does. But, that self-talk only helps me so far and the pain is still there.

I know he’s just trying to be of help but, he’s of the era and age where sensitivity is not a masculine quality and I, unlike my four siblings am more emotional and sensitive than they are.

My guess is that folks like my dad, from that Archie Bunker generation, “girls were girls and men were men…,” were not raised to show or give emotional support and quite frankly, for myself, it hurts quite a bit.

So, suffice it to say, please lift up my dad and I in prayer.

Thank you.

Amen.
