Poll: Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton tied across battleground states

#1

The race across the combined battlegrounds is as tight as can be, tied 42 percent to 42 percent.

Clinton was up one point last week, and was up two points back on Labor Day weekend. Voters in these states are still looking for change, while the partisan divide remains particularly deep.

And yet as of 24 minutes ago, Hillary Clinton was still projected to have about 300 electoral votes of the 270 needed to become the first female President of the United States of America. Go figure.

That is a prognostication.

The poll is anonymous right. I don’t like either canidate, but I do have a preference.

#5

Poll is anonymous

RCP ELECTORAL MAP
200 Clinton
174 - tossup
164 Trump

270 needed to win

Trump has to win more than the “battleground states”. He has to win them and also a state or states to take him over 270. He has to win a Pennsylvania or a Michigan, or perhaps New Hampshire and Nevada.
To that point, he needs to continue to go into the inner cities of Detroit and west Philadelphia, Baltimore, St. Louis, etc. and continue the narrative of how progressive Democrat rule in those places for 50 years has not changed things, except to make them worse. And Clinton only offers them the same lip service - “vote for me now, so I can ignore you later”.

I think it will be a blow out for Trump, but not the GOP.

The disaffected will rebuke the DNC with trump for this election, but few will become ticket republicans. By the next election, the DNC will have reformed enough to pull most back in.

After today’s 1st reading and keeping in mind that I am not very happy with either main party candidate I can no longer consider Trump in good conscience.

Reading 1 Am 8:4-7

Hear this, you who trample upon the needy
and destroy the poor of the land!
“When will the new moon be over,” you ask,
“that we may sell our grain,
and the sabbath, that we may display the wheat?
We will diminish the ephah,
add to the shekel,
and fix our scales for cheating!
We will buy the lowly for silver,
and the poor for a pair of sandals;
even the refuse of the wheat we will sell!”
The LORD has sworn by the pride of Jacob:
Never will I forget a thing they have done!

I don’t like Trump. I don’t believe he can do a good job and is just cranking out sales pitches that work in his questionable business ventures and practices. His polemics serve only to screw up the process and he will prove to be far worse than Obama.

#11

IMHO both do it. Hillary is just better at hiding it.

#12

How exactly does trump destroy the poor And trample on the needy?

#13

That was my question as well…

#14

Wasn’t one of the ways taking advantage of the disasterous bankruptcy laws which among other things allow CEOs to keep their millions in salaries and bonuses while wiping out their investors, contractors, etc.?

People remember when they’ve been taken to the cleaners.

#15

Among other things, he is reported to have stiffed some small companies out of thousands of dollars he owed them for work on his Las Vegas casino. When they tried to fight him he used his influence so they couldn’t get work. He ruined at least one company.

#16

Yes, but per this, Reuters/Ipsos projection as of the 15th of September is 242 for Hillary Clinton and 243 for Donald Trump: twitter.com/ppollingnumbers/status/777315187380654080

And what has Hillary done for the poor and disavantaged? The extravagant party that was held for Bill this weekend for his 70th birthday, as well as the support she gains from the rich and famous. Her Clinton foundation (as I understand it) only gave a little over 5% of money collected toward charitable contributions. What a confusing time! Do we really know the truth, as so much is kept from us in controlled sound bites.

#18

I actually like that scenario…neither of them would reach 270 and win the race. The election would be decided by congress, they could even elect a third party candidate

#19

I’ve seen totals with Hillary getting only 205 electoral notes.

Keep visualizing the porous border, no more NRA. and much higher taxes.

Back to the basics:

  1. Supreme Court Justices … left wing appointees would permanently tilt the United States to the left.

  2. Southern Border is porous … right now there is no one stopping the flood of undocumented people AND HEROIN entering the United States.

  3. The U. S. tax structure is the worst in the developed world.

  4. Veterans are getting terrible treatment from the Veterans Administration.

  5. U.S. Foreign Policy is a disaster. [Most recent example: [-]$400/-] $1200+ MILLION in CASH flown to Iran under conditions of secrecy. If it was legitimate, they would do an electronic transfer. And that’s just the latest.]

  6. Radical Islamic Terrorism is uncontested.

  7. Second Amendment. Gun control only controls law abiding citizens. Inner city crime and gang crime and black-on-black crime is epidemic.

  8. The economy. Record numbers of people on food stamps. People forced into part-time work owing to restrictions by government controlled medical legislation. Make participation in government controlled medical to be optional: if you can find a better and/or cheaper plan then take it.

  9. Restrictions on religion. Freedom of Worship instead of freedom of religion. Mandatory Islam lessons in schools [as now in places] [Example: Why should the Little Sisters of the Poor be forced to purchase contraception?] [Example: Why should someone who posted dissection of aborted babies be prosecuted?]

  10. Education: The United States ranks around 27th in math. WHY???

  11. U.S. Military is not being kept up to date. Navy is behind in technology and numbers and readiness. Aircraft are kept going using parts from the boneyard instead of buying new stuff. Troops are not training enough. Focus on social changes.

  12. Continued inner city collapse. In 1965, 24 percent of black infants were born to single mothers. In 2013, 72 percent of black infants were born to single mothers. I don’t think it’s people who don’t know the truth as much as people who’ve become desensitized to the truth, so long as it doesn’t hurt them directly.
