Poll: Most Americans call Trump's tweets targeting 4 congresswomen 'un-American'

 Well, no, but if saying so makes you feel better . . .

And subsidizing farmers for not growing crops among other things is not socialism?

Multiple problems:
Who is “you guys”?. It is a everyone here? Anyone here?
Who is “us”? In this post you pivot from :us" to “me”.
“Constantly” has a meaning that cannot be true in this statement.

That’s not socialism.

Still waiting for you to prove this accusation.

What is it then?

This is a response to a post directed at me, so:
I have on numerous occasions criticized Trump in a variety of different areas. I have condemned in no uncertain terms his suggestion that these Americans “go back” to fix problems then “come back” to tell how to do it. That is not how we solve political disagreements among American citizens. So the claim in your post is nonsense.

That does not exclude the probability that some people criticize Trump out of hate. I will let them speak for themselves.

It is no more true than this one:

You can call me a liar all you like, but that was my experience and the experience of a lot of other people.

I’m sure some do. But not nearly as many as are accused of it.

I have not called you a liar.
I have not questioned your experience.

First of all, I was responding to JohNC, not you.

But since you brought it up, yes, you did. You said, “I think that you must realize that this statement is not true.”

But of course, I’m sure your post won’t be censored by the moderators.

There is a huge difference between pointing out that the content of a post is not true and calling calling a poster a liar. To be a liar one has to recognize that the material is untrue and willingly post it.

I assume that you posted in good faith, with perhaps some gross hyperbole, and thought that with attention called to the post, you might reflect and realize that it was not faithful to the truth and amend it.

I try to avoid making assumptions about posters motives and intent. They are just too hard to know from the posts. So i don’t call posters liars or, as is to common here, haters. That just isn’t knowable.

Big deal. That doesn’t make their answer to that poll the correct one. Poll after poll of Catholics shows that the vast majority support gay marriage and contraception.

I discussed this in post #135.

I assume that you posted in good faith, with perhaps some gross hyperbole, and thought that with attention called to the post, you might reflect and realize that it was not faithful to the truth and amend it.

I would edit my original post for clarity were that possible.

I think that, with this prompt to reflect on your post, you will certainly realize that this statement is not true.

I am sorry if you took my post as an accusation of lying. It was not my intent at all. I try always to talk of the content of the post, not about the poster. That is what we are asked to do.

The question posed involves, essentially this: what constitutes racism?
That question is very much a matter of “usage” of the words race an racism, rather than some matter of objective fact. And the usage evidenced in the poll is also confirmed by dictionary entries for these words.

Your post was pretty unambiguous.

You then doubled down and said you hoped being called a liar would cause me to realize my post wasn’t “faithful to the truth”.

Once last try.
As I have pointed out, it is a matter of fact that you post included things in them that aren’t true.
Whether that was done by mistake, or was just got rhetoric, or a lack of precision in posting or any of a myriad of other possibilities was, and remains, unclear to me; I have not suggested one way or another.

When have you been respectful of our beliefs? You allowed De_Maria to lie about me, personally, and our beliefs at least twice now.
