Praise Jesus, pass the ammunition: Ala. church opens gun range

JEMISON, Ala. - Pastor Phillip Guin sensed a unique opportunity for outreach when debating what to do with the empty gully behind his Rocky Mount United Methodist Church recently.

“This is an opportunity for us to reach out in the name of Jesus Christ in a setting that is completely unique. Even odd by some people’s standards. But who’s to say that church can’t happen right here,” Guin said, pointing at the red clay dirt of one of the area’s most popular gun ranges

I for one would like to see Son of Niall opine on the news articles he is posting.

And what is wrong with that?

When Jesus says to put the other cheek when someone slaps you HE certainly did not say allow him to kill you OR kill your fellow parishioners.

Self defence and the defence of innocent lives is allowed even if in order to do so one must take a human life.

You have to make the decision either prepare yourself or pay for others to defend you.
