Pray for and save souls from Purgatory

The more souls you save from Purgatory the better chance you have of getting straight into Heaven without passing through Purgatory.

Type [with God’s approval] as well

Another way of saving souls from Purgatory is having Masses said for them.
The Seraphic Mass Association in America charges $10 US dollars per Mass

The prayer of Saint Gertrude is prohibited by the Church. The method I use for saving 1 soul per day is shown when you google the above

There is a Prayer Group for the souls in Purgatory.

I pray daily for them.

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May the souls of the faithfully departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

A great reminder to pray for the souls in purgatory. I need to work on that more.

Joining in prayer…

Mary.

You trust Google over the Church?

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

No, the prayer itself is not what is prohibited. What is prohibited is the promise the prayer supposedly carries: “(Please note: Promises to free one or more souls from Purgatory by the recitation of some prayer is prohibited by the Church – Pope Leo XIII “Acts of the Holy See” ).”–https://olrl.org/pray/stgertrude.shtml

I’m sure the prayer does the souls of Purgatory some kind of good–perhaps at least shortening their time in Purgatory by at least a little bit. Prior to your post I had no idea one was prohibited by the Church to believe in such promises. I guess St. Gertrude maybe really had no visions at all.

Praying…

Remembering your intentions for the souls in Purgatory as I pray today. God bless!
