Pray for me and my family

Hi, I need help, I need prayer. My wife and I have 2 kids that we adopted almost 10 years ago. They are 15 and 16. They were born into a neglectfull, hurtfull family of sorts. We have tried to bring them up in the faith and teach them right from wrong. At time it seems like we’re making progress and then we get tossed back to the begining. The 15 year old we had him seeing a therapist after he go caught stealing a teachers’ smartphone at school (to down load porn). After his sister got caught shoplifting a month or so ago we started bringing her there as well. At the last meeting she announced that she has had it, she hates both of us, resents us for “trying to shove God” on her, and is leaving at age 17 to live with a friend that we do not know, but who lives in the school district (so she will graduate from the same school). She also said this person told her we could not stop her once she reached age 17. The last is not true, but her brother was sitting there going, “ya, ya, when I’m 17 I’m going too and I’ll live off the my money you spend on me”. Also not true, but hard to explain to a Bi-Polar ADHD boy.
My wife and I are deeply hurt by this and at a loss as what to do.:frowning: We are trying to understand what God wants us to do with these kids and need prayers very much!
God bless

I will say a prayer for you. May God Bless

I prayed for you and your family.
May all be well.

Prayers for you and your family. :signofcross:

Kids are really having a hard time these days. The world bombards them with all sorts of rebellious ways in music and other media. I think the devil is targeting them. I don’t know how many times I have heard this kind of story or that kids are losing their faith when they get to middle school and college.

Pray to break any familial bonds these kids may have to their birthparents. Sometimes the kids are oppressed by evil because of trauma or abuse that is no fault of their own.

I will pray for them and you and your wife. This can be so horrible to go through but you two stick together. Us praying for you and you and your wife make a “tri-corded rope” which is very hard to break (in the bible!!).

I pray that you and your family can go on a pilgrimmage somewhere special in hopes that the children’s hearts will be moved by grace. Also, I pray that you start taking your children to Confession weekly or monthly as a family, and do Eucharistic Adoration weekly. I pray that you pray the Rosary daily together as a family too. May our Lord help you and your husband to do this for your children, and may his mercy be on every one of you. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with Thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of Thy womb,
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.

Thanl you, these two have been though trama from their time with their birthparents, everytime we think they have progressed out passed that point, the bonds seem to show up again (lies, stealing, and so forth)
If it wouldn’t be an abuse of a sacramental, I’d like to spray them sometime with Holy Water while they sleep…But I think my wifes idea is better, playing music from a local Protestent Christian music station in the morning before we wake them up and at night before we go to bed. Will it help?; but I pray that it does:gopray2:

Try these couple of things:

Sprinkle their rooms with holy water and find a couple of Psalms that proclaim God’s goodness and mercy and strength.

Ps 50 says to offer God a sacrifice of praise. So you and your wife praise the Lord in song or your own words. Use one of those songs you listen to on the radio station, you can find them on youtube. “You are the everlasting God, you never faint and you won’t grow weary.” You help the weak and comfort the hurting. You are a strong tower, the rock of my salvation, my buckler and my shield. I praise you God. I hope in you. Your blood has saved me. Save my children like you saved the children of Israel. You are a strong tower. A refuge. There’s no one like you. Ps. 50 goes on to say that God will rescue you in times of distress. Stand on his word. He says wherever 2 or more are gathered in his name there he will be in the midst of them. You have to stir up the Holy Spirit! Ps 68: 1-3, Ps 89: 1-9, Ps 91. Ps 24: 7-10

Then ask God for his protection as you begin your spiritual warfare. “In the name of Jesus Christ I command all evil spirits to not interfere with this prayer. In the name of Jesus Christ, who was born of the Virgin Mary, I bind you evil spirits one from the other and from (name the kids). I command you in the name of Jesus Christ not to interfere in any plans Jesus has for these kids. I bind you from their emotions and their wills, from their imaginations and their memories. By the power of the Blood of the Lamb and by his mighty Sword of the Spirit I cut you off from these kids and I cut any blood ties, curses, unholy bonds and seals from these kids and any unholy influences from generations past till now. I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to leave here quietly and never return. You have no business here. These children are claimed by the Blood of the Lamb and they belong to him. Amen and amen.”

Then sprinkle holy water throughout the room and on their beds. You can even put blessed salt in their food!! Another good prayer is the prayer of lay exorcism from Pope Leo XIII. It can be found on the internet.

Then find some Psalm or prayer of thanksgiving. Ps 105: 1-5, Ps 9: 1-5 The Divine Mercy Chaplet can be found on youtube too. Keep praying together!!

The 7th one, I do hope your children one day will understand that you and your dear wife give them a home and bring them up, this is so much great love, and they will love and respect you and your dear wife.

May God comfort you and your wife first.

Lord have mercy upon your children.

Praying for your intentions….

Lord Jesus, You have said, “Learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart.” With confidence in Your loving heart which offers rest to weary souls, we come to You in this time of special need. In Your unfailing love, read the prayer that is written on our hearts, and grant the grace that we ask of You, in accordance with Your holy will. In Your name we pray. Amen.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, and sought thy intercession, was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother, to thee I come, before thee I stand sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate! Despise not my petitions, but, in thy mercy, hear and answer me. Amen.

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death.

Glory be to the Father,
and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning,
is now,
and ever shall be,
world without end.
