Pray for my obsessive brother

#1

Please pray for my brother who is in a lot of torment. He is obsessing about a girl who is married and my brother is also married and has a lovely daughter. He does not want to be obsessing just wants peace of mind and to move on and forget her, but he can’t. He told me he has sucidal thoughts about it. Please pray for him, he is a good guy.

Thanks,
EM

Loving God, please have mercy on his pain, and help Endaman’s brother to release this obsession that is adulterous, and is a betrayal of himself and his marriage.

Our God, perhaps some time during his or her life someone may be particularly attracted to another person.

Our God, let no one be confused or led astray by inappropriate attractions. Feelings are natural human responses. They will sometimes fade if commonsense prevails. Sin and foolishness only enter if feelings are acted upon; therefore, guard Your ministers and Your people with commonsense and mutual charity.

Dear God, please grant us Your love and wisdom when we undervalue anyone, but also when anyone attracts us. To see anyone’s unique value is to acknowledge the goodness of Your Creation and the wonder of Your expression of Yourself in him or her! Grant us serenity and blessing for each other in our trials and in our joys.

In Heaven, everyone will be in love with each other—that is, will recognise the wonderful, unique miracle of each other person. Help us to treat each other with love and consideration in this life.

Help Endaman’s brother to resolutely relinquish this dangerous obsession and give his heart and will to love and care of his wife and daughter.

:signofcross:
Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it as it is in heaven.
Give us this day, our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive
those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but
deliver us from evil.
Amen

Holy Spirit please come down on him, and open his eyes to the adultery that his obsession with one who is not his wife but another’s, really is.
Jesus said that if someone even looks at another with adultery in his heart, he has already committed adultery, even if he hasn’t acted.
Please free him from his sin and the consequences to his soul and his marriage.
