Prayer for a troubled marriage

#1

Please pray for me and my husband. We seem to be going in completely different directions lately and it has caused me much grief. To my chagrin, he fails to see the problems in our marriage. It’s time for me to have a good talk with him, and I’m scared to death, because in our case, discussions often lead into fights/more problems. Please pray that I find the words to express myself without hurting him. I hope the Lord will help me out of this period of sadness and loneliness.

Good Lord Jesus, help taye with her husband, help her find the right words to say to him, and help him to be understanding and receptive to her needs…let taye know that there is no loneliness if one has You in their heart…Thank you, sweet Jesus

Praying for you and your marriage

Hail, holy Queen, Mother of mercy, hail, our life,
our sweetness and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor
banished children of Eve: to thee do we send up our sighs,
mourning and weeping in this vale of tears. Turn then, most
gracious Advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after
this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb,
Jesus, O merciful, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary! Amen.

Taye I’m sad to think of you going through this, and that your’re feeling scared and a bit helpless about how to deal with such a difficult problem. I can only keep you in my prayers, and pray for your husband’s awakening to the needs in your marriage. I ask your Angel to help you in talking or getting through to your husband without further misunderstandings arising.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with Thee.
Blessed art Thou among women,
and Blessed is the Fruit
of Thy Womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen

Out of the depths I cry to You, Oh Lord; Lord, hear my voice!
Let Your ears be attentive to my cry for mercy.
If You, Oh Lord, mark iniquities, Lord, who can stand?
But with You there is forgiveness, therefore You are revered.

I trust in the Lord, my soul trusts in His word.
My soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the dawn.

More than watchmen wait for the dawn, let Israel wait for the Lord.
For with the Lord is unfailing love and with Him is full redemption.
He will redeem Israel from all their iniquities.

Other refuge have I none;
Hangs my helpless soul on Thee:
Leave, ah! leave me not alone,
Still support and comfort me.
All my trust on Thee is stayed,
All my help from Thee I bring;
Cover my defenseless head
With the shadow of Thy wing! Amen.

I wish to kindly thank you for all of your prayers. This past Sunday, DH & I had a very important discussion. It probably was the most difficult discussion of my life. However, my husband was very understanding about the whole situation. While I can’t go into the details, it had to do with some traumatic experiences from my childhood that I had never talked to him about. I felt so guilty about keeping these secrets from him, but at the same time, I never felt strong enough to talk about it until now. I also feared that he would be deeply hurt or that he would hold a grudge against those who hurt me. We agreed that to grow stronger, I need to forgive those who hurt me and myself for all the wrongs I have done. Forgiveness is not my forte (sp?), but it’s something I have to work on.

Also, I explained to him what I felt what he could do to improve our relationship.

My heart is at peace since Sunday. I feel like we’re going in a whole new direction. I’m also doing the “Love Dare”. Coincidentally(?), I should be done on our 10th anniversary (Aug 20). It is my hope that together we can grow closer together with God’s help.
