Prayer for anxiety

#1

Please pray for me this Wednesday, June 10th. I have a certain amount of anxiety (and that certain amount is complete and utter panic) about going to the dentist… I have an appointment Wednesday afternoon (the first one in over 5 years), and I am seriously wanting to cancel it. Thanks be to God that I haven’t faced any serious problems that is warrenting this visit, but a recent thorough study of an Examination of Conscience has alerted me to the fact that neglecting my health is a grave matter.

Please pray that I have all of the grace and fortitude nessesary to be able to offer up any fear and anxiety (and that I won’t assault the dentist).

Praying that all goes well for you on Wednesday and that you are not too frightened. I’m sure you’ll be fine.

I will pray for you! I just got back from the dentist, but if you haven’t been there for awhile, I understand completely!! I bare-knuckle it all the time. I grab the arm rest and usually keep my hands there for the whole visit.

:signofcross::signofcross: (I am not just putting these little icons on this post - I really will pray that you will be ok. Keep your teeth and gums healthy! Bush AND floss!)

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners,
now, and at the hour of our death. Amen.

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth; and in Jesus
Christ, His only Son, our Lord: Who was
conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the
Virgin Mary; suffered under Pontius
Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried.
He descended into hell; the third day He
rose again from the dead; He ascended
into heaven, is seated at the right hand of
God the Father Almighty; from thence He
shall come to judge the living and the
dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the
Holy Catholic Church, the communion of
Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the
resurrection of the body, and life
everlasting. Amen.
