Prayer for Friendship (and Relationships in General)

Social networking is great and all but I’d like to have friends whom I can rely on and love and encourage as well. A few years ago, I made a big mistake of not opening my heart to someone and I still regret how I treated him.

Soon, I will be leaving school and it’s going to be harder for me to discern whom I should give my trust and affection. Please pray for me and all those who seek genuine friendship. Pray that we may have the virtue of patience (especially), humility, kindness and forgiveness so that we may cultivate lasting friendships with others. Pray that we may find the right people in our lives.

Praying for you. I understand having issues with trusting people.
Praying hard.
God bless you~

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection,
implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother.
To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions,
but in your mercy, hear and answer me.

O loving messenger of the Incarnation,
descend upon all those for whom I wish peace and happiness.
Spread your wings over the cradles of the new-born babes,
O thou who didst announce the coming of the Infant Jesus.
Give to the young a lily petal from the virginal scepter in your hand.
Cause the Ave Maria to re-echo in all hearts that they
may find grace and joy through Mary.
Finally, recall the sublime words spoken on the day of the Annunciation–
“Nothing is impossible with God,” and repeat them in hours of trial–
to all I love–that their confidence in Our Lord may be reanimated,
when all human help fails.

In the name of the Father,
and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit.

Dear Lord, I know that in various way You introduce us to those whom you wish to share our lives, for a time or for life.
At times You have special gifts to share between people that promotes the other’ development.
Please bring into this persons life, at the right time, those whom you wish as mentors, as friends, and the person who will be a true life companion.
May You loving will be fulfilled in this person’s life, and in all who desire these graces.

Lord, may onjac know that you are his/her best friend. If others love you as much as he/she does then I believe they would make good friends with him/her. Help him/her to make friends that share in his/her love for you. May onjac possess all the virtues that are necessary for a good friend, like simplicity, honesty, sincerity, humility, compassion, understanding, faith, hope and love. Thank you, Lord, for hearing my prayer.

O most loving Jesus, Pattern of charity, who makest all the commandments of the law to consist in love towards God and towards man, grant to us so to love Thee with all our heart, with all our mind, and all our soul, and our neighbor for Thy sake, that the grace of charity and brotherly love may dwell in us, and all envy, harshness, and ill-will may die in us; and fill our hearts with love, kindness, and compassion, so that by constantly rejoicing in the happiness and success of others, by sympathizing with them in their sorrows, and putting away all harsh judgments and envious thoughts, we may follow Thee, who art Thyself the true and perfect love. Amen.

Praying for your intentions….

Lord Jesus, You have said, “Learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart.” With confidence in Your loving heart which offers rest to weary souls, we come to You in this time of special need. In Your unfailing love, read the prayer that is written on our hearts, and grant the grace that we ask of You, in accordance with Your holy will. In Your name we pray. Amen.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, and sought thy intercession, was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother, to thee I come, before thee I stand sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate! Despise not my petitions, but, in thy mercy, hear and answer me. Amen.
