Prayer for Holy Souls in Purgatory

#1

Lord, we ask you for those who are already
on their way to Your Holy Presence,
that they may be released soon,
to be free to contemplate Your Glory and
to praise You forever, and ever! Amen.

Let’s remember that while they can pray for us,
they cannot pray for themselves…
as they are becoming “self-less” to themselves
on their way to the Presence of the Almighty.
We must pray for them, for their prompt release.
We will then have even more friends in Heaven
interceding for our hurting world.
We are a family taking care of one another.:thumbsup:

***Eternal Father, I offer You the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus Christ,
In union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory,
For sinners everywhere, those in the Universal Church, in my home, and within my family.

full of Grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the Fruit Of Thy Womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.

***Jesus, Friend of a lonely heart, You are my haven.
You are my peace.
You are my salvation.
You are my serenity in moments of struggle and amidst an ocean of doubts.
Amen ***

My dear Saviour,
I unite all my affections with the affections of Your most loving Heart;
and I offer them, thus united, to Your eternal Father,
and beseech Him in Your name to vouchsafe,
for Your love, to accept them.
Amen.

***Lord, make me an instrument of your peace,
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy; ***

Lord have mercy; please pardon the sins of those closest to, and those furthest from Your Holy Presence. Amen.

Lord, you know I have such a great love for the holy souls of purgatory. I offer up all my penances performed this day and every day of my life for their speedy relief from all of their sufferings and ask you holy souls of purgatory to pray for me too as I walk in this vale of tears. Pray that I might be victorious over sin and temptation and be received by our Heavenly Father in Paradise upon my death. Pray that we will all sing together in heaven great songs of joy to our Lord remembering our great love for each other and our prayers and penances performed for each other. With grateful affection I pray for you all and thank you all for your prayers. Amen.

Eighth Day of The Chaplet of The Divine Mercy Novena

Today bring to Me The Souls Who Are Detained In Purgatory, and immerse them in the abyss of My mercy. …

Most Merciful Jesus, You Yourself have said that You desire mercy; so I bring into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart the souls in Purgatory, souls who are very dear to You, and yet, who must make retribution to Your justice. May the streams of Blood and Water which gushed forth from Your Heart put out the flames of Purgatory, that there, too, the power of Your mercy may be celebrated.

Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon the souls suffering in Purgatory, who are enfolded in the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. I beg You, by the sorrowful Passion of Jesus Your Son, and by all the bitterness with which His most sacred Soul was flooded: Manifest Your mercy to the souls who are under Your just scrutiny. Look upon them in no other way but only through the Wounds of Jesus, Your dearly beloved Son; for we firmly believe that there is no limit to Your goodness and compassion. Amen.

"No eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man conceived, what God has prepared for those who love Him,
God has revealed to us through the Spirit.
For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God…
Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is from God,
that we might understand the gifts bestowed on us by God.
And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit…"
~Pope John Paul II

*Deliver me, O Jesus,
From the desire of being loved,
From the desire of being extolled,
From the desire to being honored,
From the desire of being praised,
From the desire of being preferred,
From the desire of being consulted,
From the desire of being approved,
From the desire of being popular,
From the fear of being humiliated,
From the fear of being despised,
From the fear of suffering rebukes,
From the fear of being calumniated,
From the fear of being forgotten,
From the fear of being wronged,
From the fear of being ridiculed,
From the fear of being suspected.
Amen.
