Prayer for my University church community

Hi there. I’m at Nottingham University in England and am the president of the Catholic Society.

Over the last few years we’ve seen declining numbers both at Mass and other events. This year the numbers are finally picking up at Mass but as hard as we try people seem to just want to come to Mass on a Sunday and not get to know each other or come together as a community.

For young Catholics who have just left home having a stable community is so important and even those who do come to our other prayer events or our social gatherings are not being fed due to low numbers.

Please pray that more people from Mass will stay behind after the liturgy and get to know the people they’ve been praying with.

Pray that we become a community of friends rather than just a sea of individuals who are in the same room for one hour a week.

Praying for your intentions.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amoungst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, mother of God; pray for us, sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen
