Prayer request for insomnia

#1

The last three nights I have not been able to get more than three to four hours sleep during the night. I’ve not been stressed or worried about anything so I don’t know what’s causing it. Today I went out and bought some benedryl to see if it would help me sleep. I took it two hours ago and still can’t sleep. An hour ago (out of desperation) I took a Vicoden ES (I have a prescription for my Crohn’s disease when I have pain) and I still can’t sleep. I do nap during the day because of my heart problems but I’ve always napped and it’s never cause me to have sleep problems.

If you could pray that I can finally get a good night sleep -I’d really appreciate it.

Rayne89,
I pray that you can have a good night sleep every night. May the Lord give you the peace and calmness to rest your 8 hours.

Also, pray for me too. I and my legs get very restless at night and I cannot sleep either. It is very frusterating.

My prayers are with you.:gopray2:

I am praying for all who suffer from insomnia, for I know what it is like…I don’t sleep well either.

You are not alone. I hate when I can’t “shut down” as I call it. Only thing I do is pray and pray and pray somemore. That a a couple benadryl generally do the trick.

***“By day the LORD directs his love, at night his song is with me - a prayer to the God of my life.” -Ps 42:8 ***

"I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety." -Psalm 4:8

***Speak these two verses out loud!! And pray the rosary in silence with your eyes closed while you are in the bed.

Also, stop the naps… At anytime during our lives hormones will suddenly change levels and can cause problems like this.

Make sure you don’t have any caffiene or sugar for at least 5 hours before you are going to bed… May not have ever bothered you before…but it can start at anytime. ***

Will keep you in prayer with St. Dymphna, patron of those with mental stress.
A visit to your doctor may be necessary…

Thank you all! Thurs I finally got sleep about 2:15 and had to get up by 6:30. Yesterday I purposely did not take a nap and I did fall asleep pretty easily. Hopefully the streak of insomnia has passed.
