Prayer request for me

#1

I have been struggling with a lot of old issues lately. Internet Porn, Masturbation, as well as drinking(I really should not drink alcohol. I need to get back in the swing of things by going to AA again). These things really make me feel as though I am worthless and I am having a problem connecting with God and feeling any kind of worth. I know that type of thinking is a lie but I can’t help but feel that way.

Thanks in advance, T

Hail Mary,
full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the Fruit Of Thy Womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen

That you may shake loose of your addictions

Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth, as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Lord, teadough’s addictions are keeping him from union with You, which I know makes you very sad. Help get him back to AA where he can learn to get some control over his addictions so he can live a normal life of chastity, sobriety and love of God, self and neighbor. He’s living in a vicious circle of vice that does not allow him the graces he needs to be happy and whole again. May he not only go to AA but get a good spiritual director who can help him get back in touch with his faith and his true self, the child of God You created him to be. May he also get to confession and throw away anything harmful to him and get his computer on a setting that does not allow him to view anything so ugly and harmful to his soul. He wants You and wants to break out of the addictions. He has shown his desire to be one with You and away from his involvement with such harmful things by asking for prayer. You gave him this desire - now finish what You started and give him the grace to get himself to confession, AA, to meet with a spritual director and to give himself a chance by giving up anything that is a temptation: bad friends, bad books, bad places, etc… Give him strength and courage to move ahead with his life and break out of the chains that keep him in a miserable way of living. Bless him with a new way of thinking. From now on, may he seek only to be pleasing to You and to obey your commands. May he find pleasure in doing the right thing and offering up his sufferings for the conversion of souls. Make him a saint and bless him abundantly with all the graces he needs to become one. Perfect in him all that is good and help him remove anything that should not be in his personality. May he love You, himself and others with pure love and never lose hope in You. Amen.

Teadough, you’ll be remembered in my daily prayers and Masses.

First of you are not worthless, we all have low times in our lives and temptation is hard to fight. I have struggled in my past with temptations, one in particular that i had every day for about one and a half years. All i can tell you is that every time i was tempted i closed my eyes blocked everything else from my mind except Jesus and prayed to him asking him to help me, and you know what he did. I no longer suffer from temptations anymore, i still have low times in my life i know i always will but i no longer have these temptations. Trust in God ask for his help he will not let you down. I am also stronger in my faith since this. I will pray for you that God will give you the strength you need to fight these issues that you have and that you can once again connect with God for without him in our lives we are nothing. God Bless. Geraldine:signofcross:
