My cousin Felicia was diagnosed with a very rare form of childhood cancer when she was about 20 years old. Its a brain cancer. She went ahead with the chemo and radiation, had surgery to remove what they could but couldnt remove much as it was too close to the main artery in the chest, I dont remember what its called. Late last year, she was told her tumors were growing slowly and there were more, that there was nothing left that they could do. In March, Felicia experienced a true miracle, she and her fiance Elec found out they were expecting regardless of the years of chemo, radiation and the birth control pills she was taking. Unfortunately, she miscarried. Early April, they were in a horrid car accident. Felicia had a bleed in her brain and her left side was paralysed. She went on to learn to walk again and managed to walk down the aisle for her wedding on August 23rd this year. She was sent to Vancouver for her brain surgery and decided to stay when they offered to try clinical testing on her of a different chemo. They’ve recently told her that the chemo isnt working and that she has 7 to 12 months to live. Medical has been cutting back on her because she is classed at terminal. Shes 23 years old now and most likely wont see her 24th birthday next August. She has lost so much weight.
Felicia needs a miracle. I’ll tell you something, she is one of the most kindest, caring, and smart people I have ever known. It will be a great loss to lose her.
