Prayer Request

#1

Dear prayer warriors,

Tomorrow, January 22nd is the 36th anniversary of the legalization of abortion on demand in the U.S. through Roe V. Wade. Please pray that God will bring a swift end to abortion in our country and around the world.

In addition, pray for the healing and conversion of all who support abortion in any way and pray for all the victims of abortion.

Finally, pray that we Catholics as the Church Militant will promote a culture of life, a civilization of love and defeat all attempts to promote abortion and all the other evils which our Church opposes.

May God have mercy on our country and on our world!

The Agony in the Garden
Dear Jesus, as you suffered for our sins, you asked that the will of the Father be done. Help us and the new president to do the will of God the Father, especially with regard to abortion and other life issues. And help pregnant women everywhere to do the will of our Creator by cooperating with His plan of bringing new life into the world.

The Scourging at the Pillar
Dear Jesus, your body was torn by the whippings received at the hands of men. Help us to remove abortion from our laws and our land, so no more unborn babies may be destroyed by our hands.

The Crowning of Thorns
Holy Spirit, the new President was inaugurated today with a crown of many national challenges, among them the daily threats to life as a result of so-called legal abortion. We offer the blood shed by Jesus from his crown of thorns that you may grant the new president the spiritual gifts of wisdom, knowledge, prudence, courage, understanding, piety, and fear of the Lord, so the nation may be healed of the disease of abortion.

The Carrying of the Cross
Jesus, as you carried your cross, you met your Mother, you were comforted by Veronica’s pity, and you told the women of Jerusalem to weep not for you, but for their children. We ask, by this rosary of your Blessed Mother, that you have mercy on the nation, so no more women need weep in silence for their aborted babies.

The Crucifixion
Heavenly Father, your Son died for our sins - as individuals and as a nation. Please help us and the new president recognize your Son as King of kings and Lord of lords and defer to his authority as the Lord of all life, from conception to natural death

Amen.

*Our Father, who art in Heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen

Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus
Holy Mary, Mother of God
pray for us sinners now
and at the hour of our death.
Amen.*
