Prayer Request

#1

Hey Everyone,

I have a prayer request. I have an atheist uncle who is really grappling with extra-worldly issues now as he starts to hit his later years in life. He’s a good man who has morals obviously put in place by God, but he just doesn’t realize it [yet]. It breaks my heart to see his resistance to the Word, and I can only hope God changes his heart soon.

We’ve had some great conversations about God, Christ, and Christianity as a whole in the past and I hope that some seeds were planted in his mind about the Truth in Christ. I recently gave him The Case For Christ and would just like to ask anyone willing to pray that God’s grace warms his heart through this book and any future discussions we may have.

Thanks so much.

I ask God to soften his heart and open his eyes in the name of Jesus Christ

I will pray for you and your uncle.

Do you think he might read Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis?

#5

Prayers here as well.

#6

That is a wonderful suggestion, Mary

Reading Mere Christianity is like being smacked with a spiritual 2x4 (in a GOOD way :))

It’s very engaging, very readable … and it is written by a former atheist

Prayers for your uncle, Zski0!

Lord open the eyes of this uncle. Make Yourself and Your word known to him, so that there is no mistaking that it’s You speaking to him. In the name of your Son Jesus I pray. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of Grace, The Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
