Prayers for a deceased priest

Please pray for a priest who has died in Germany over the weekend. He was a local parish priest here in SE Michigan. He was accused of some horrible things, but no proof was ever brought against him. I truly loved this priest, I pray that his soul rests in peace. :frowning:

Oh, Lord, I pray that you draw this priest to Your bosom and grant eternal rest in Your presence. In Jesus name we pray.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord.
And may perpetual light shine upon him…

He is in my prayers.

May his soul and all souls through God’s Mercy rest in Peace and may Perpetual Light ever shine upon them…

I have not found any scripture on praying for the dead. If there is can you please point it out to me.

Start with 2 Maccabees 12: 43-46. I know there are others, but I would suggest posting your question in the Apologetics forum.

Praying for the repose of his soul. :gopray:

I’m praying for him.

My prayers for the repose of his soul :crossrc:

:knight1: :highprayer: :knight1:

May he rest in God’s mercy, and with divine peace

Prayers for this priest and all his parishioners who miss him.

Prayers going up for Jessica, as well

As well as the one who said

“here I am Lord”

Crying my eyes out here

Selfishly, I cry,. in sadness I cry out to God

Yet, I have so much peace in knowing God’s providence

is real

Jessica, if you can read this know that I pray for you too

Jessica, Sister in Christ

Never despair of God’s Mercy

Never think God can not do all things

I know this may not help your specific question, I only ask you pray on this.

If you wish, please contact me if you are able through the mods, if they will permit it.

I will stick with you Jessica.

I will not abandon you, but I may not tell you what you want to hear either.

I do Love you, and you know this already,

Dont leave upset and frustrated, be at peace with Christ, He is the only Way.

Praying for the priest to be taken into the kingdom of heaven…God rest his soul.
