Prayers for a good man

#1

My wifes grandfather died this morning. I couldn’t bring myself to visit him because he was such a good man and always carried himself with dignity. I didn’t want to see him so ill and in a coma. He was a good husband, father and family man. He was a veteran that landed in Normandy and fought to Berlin under Patton. I finally brought up the courage to visit him last night. I prayed the divine office next to him and prayed the rosary. I’m glad I went. It seems strange how I will visit or help someone that is sick but when it is someone I’m so close to I feel hesitant. His name was Theodore Bayes. Any prayers you can say for him are greatly appreciated.

Peace.

Sorry I am not a Catholic so I don’t know these thigns but, don’t you believe he is in heaven? If so you will see him again someday, so it isn’t goodbye forever…it just feels that way.

Prayers for you, and all of your family.

Dear friend

I am so very sorry for your sad loss and may God console you and all those who love Theodore.

Theodore and his entire family and friends remain in my prayers. I will offer my next Eucharist for him. May he rest in peace, amen.

God Bless you and much love and peace to you

Teresa

It’s sad when someone close to us dies. I think we all find the situation awkward.
God rest his soul. And peace to all who knew him.

May he rest in everlasting peace.
May the light of Christ shine upon him.
May he look upon the Face of Mercy.

Our Father in Heaven
Holy be Your Name
Your Kingdom come
Your Will be done
On earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our sins
As we forgive those who sin against us
Do not bring us to the test
But deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace!
The Lord is with you
Blessed are you among women
And Blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God
Pray for us sinners
Now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Glory be to the Father,
And to the Son,
And to the Holy Spirit.

As it was in the beginning
Is now and ever shall be
World without end.
Amen.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord,
And let perpetual light shine upon him.

May he rest in peace.
Amen.

May the souls of the faithfully departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Amen.

Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord
may perpetual light shine upon him
and may he rest in peace Amen

Our Father, Who art in heaven
Hallowed be Thy Name;
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.
