Prayers for healing in a family

#1

I need prayers for a tragic situation.

I have temporarily living with me and my husband two young adults (20-year old girl who was my daughter’s high school friend, and the girl’s 18-year-old brother), both of whom left home (adoptive mother and her female domestic partner) due to emotional abuse.

We heard through the grapevine (domestic partner didn’t bother to call us) that the mother is under Hospice care, in and out of a coma with terminal cancer (we knew she had cancer, but we did not know she was this close to the end). Partner doesn’t want to allow the kids to visit their mother. Daughter is an emotional wreck, afraid her mother will die and she will not be able to be there for her (daughter has attempted reconciliation with mother on several occasions but it has not worked out).

Please join me in praying:
*]for an opportunity for the kids to have a peaceful visit with their mother before she dies, if it is God’s will;
*]for the grace of final repentance and a happy death for the mother, if that is God’s will;
*]for emotional healing for all involved (the girl is particularly fragile, I hear she attempted suicide once in the past);
*]for the conversion of the domestic partner, who is a lapsed Catholic;
*]for the gifts of the Holy Spirit upon me and my family, so we will know the best ways to help.
Thank you!

Father, in Jesus’ name, let Your love prevail.

Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth, as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
Forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now,
and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be world without end. Amen

Lord, please make it happen that these children can visit with their dying mother before its too late; may their mother die a happy death reconciled to God; may the domestic partner involved be converted; may this good family who is taking care of the children be blessed and receive the Holy Spirit to such a great degree that they do all things perfectly in Your Name according to Your will. Amen.

This is so sad. Of course I’ll be praying for all of you - that God opens the hearts of the family to reconciliation as well as for strength and wisdom for you. God bless.

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth; and in Jesus
Christ, His only Son, our Lord: Who was
conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the
Virgin Mary; suffered under Pontius
Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried.
He descended into hell; the third day He
rose again from the dead; He ascended
into heaven, is seated at the right hand of
God the Father Almighty; from thence He
shall come to judge the living and the
dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the
Holy Catholic Church, the communion of
Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the
resurrection of the body, and life
everlasting. Amen.
